Description
As a community, we have created El Mangle- Agile Learning Center that reimagines education through flexible, learner-driven practices. Situated in The Galapagos Islands, it encourages students to explore their interests and passions while developing essential skills such as self-management and collaboration. The center fosters a dynamic learning environment where students engage in project-based learning, problem-solving, community involvement and personal growth. By prioritizing autonomy and creativity, it also empowers people to shape their educational journey and thrive in a supportive, adaptive setting.
We have three people in our permanent staff that coordinate logistical aspects for running the ALC, facilitate diverse learning experience and deeply accompany personal growth process por those who are part of our community.Types of help and learning opportunities

Volunteering in the Galapagos Islands offers a unique cultural exchange where your contribution can have a profound impact on the local community, especially the children. By sharing your skills and knowledge, you not only enrich their educational experience but also foster a deeper understanding of different cultures and perspectives.
In this beautiful and biodiverse setting, volunteering allows you to learn from the children and the broader learning community in unexpected ways. The children of the Galapagos Islands often have a strong connection to their natural environment, offering insights into sustainability, biodiversity, and conservation that are integral to their daily lives. Your interactions with them can inspire a mutual exchange of ideas, where you learn about their unique perspectives on ecology, marine life, and the challenges they face in their community.
Moreover, your presence as a volunteer teacher in the Galapagos Islands can ignite curiosity and passion among the children for subjects they might not have explored before, such as art, technology, or storytelling. Your contributions help create a nurturing environment where creativity and critical thinking flourish, empowering the children to envision a brighter future for themselves and their environment.
In return, volunteering in the Galapagos Islands offers you a chance to immerse yourself in an amazing scenery shaped by its unique history and natural wonders. You'll experience firsthand the warmth and hospitality of the local community, forging meaningful connections that transcend borders and languages.
By participating in this cultural exchange through volunteering, you not only make a meaningful impact on the lives of the children but also contribute to a global dialogue of understanding and cooperation. Together, we can create positive change and inspire future generations to become stewards of our planet's precious ecosystems.Projects involving children
