  Description

  I love learning new languages and cultures, and I believe the best way to do so is through connecting with people. For many years, I have dreamed of being able to learn new languages or improve those I already know at different levels, but unfortunately, due to time constraints, I haven’t had the opportunity to do it.
  I am now firmly committed to carrying out a personal development project that includes, among other things, learning the languages I want, practicing those I already know, and, above all, exchanging experiences with people from around the world. I am convinced that our life is more than what we can see from our windows, that there is so much more to know and discover, and all of that is within people across the globe, who carry with them their customs, ideas, languages, and more.
  Therefore, I want to undertake this personal growth project of language learning and cultural exchange right here in my own city. Lima, the capital of Peru and the largest city in my country, is home to people from all regions, each bringing with them the diverse shades of their cultures, making this a multicultural city. Lima is a metropolis and, as such, has all the advantages and disadvantages of a city of its size. To fully enjoy it, it’s important to meet people who can guide you on what to see, do, and how to connect more deeply with our culture, and that would be part of my commitment to anyone who decides to come to my city.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  Volunteers can join me, my family, and my friends for family or social gatherings on weekends or in the evenings, as well as for outings to tourist spots in my city or outside Lima (depending on the dates), to the movies, museums, etc.
  
  If the volunteer wishes, I can teach them a bit of Spanish.
  
  What I hope to gain from hosting people from different parts of the world is the opportunity to practice their native languages, learn about their cultures, enrich myself, and perhaps even find inspiration in their life experiences.

  Help

  Volunteers are needed to help me with learning and practicing any of the following languages: Italian, Portuguese, or English. I would need this support for the weekends.
  I don’t expect interested people to be teachers, but simply to have a genuine willingness to share their native language with me. I would like to share free conversation in any of the languages I wish to learn or improve, discussing topics related to their own experiences and cultures.
  My levels in each language are as follows: Italian (upper intermediate), Portuguese (intermediate), and English (beginner).
  
  I kindly ask anyone interested to contact me in advance so we can get to know each other beforehand (a video call would be ideal). I consider it important that, prior to any agreement, we meet and clearly understand the various conditions established for both parties. Additionally, if an agreement is reached, you will be asked to provide a copy of your ID card or another form of identification in order to authorize access to the building where the offered room is located.

  Accommodation

  A room is offered in an apartment I own, which is relatively close to where I live. The room is in an apartment building in a central area of the city, near main avenues, making it easy to connect with the entire city. The room shares a bathroom with people living in the other rooms. The guest must take care of the regular cleaning of their room as well as the sanitary facilities available to them.
  The volunteer would have greater independence by staying in a separate room, allowing them to manage their free time with more autonomy.
  I offer one meal on saturday and one meal on sunday.

  What else ...

  In their free time (they will have a lot of free time), volunteers can visit different areas of the city, such as the Miraflores district, which is a 20-minute bus ride from the accommodation, or explore the financial district, which is just a few steps away from the lodging. They can also go to the 'Parque de las Aguas,' a collection of colorful fountains that is a 5-minute drive from the accommodation, among other places.
  
  Smoking is completely prohibited inside the room, as well as making loud noises that could disturb other guests. Additionally, bringing other people into the apartment and/or room is not allowed.
