    Description

Hi, we are an English couple in our early 30's who have recently made the move from the UK to France for a lifestyle change, Adrian is an Event Project Manager and Serena works in talent for a start up. Along with Serena's parents we decided to embark on a new adventure; buying this beautiful Chateau that needs renovating in South West France, Gers. Our vision is to create a space people would like to come and stay and where we can run different events throughout the year.

The Chateau is set in the beautiful French countryside surrounded by vineyards, just outside the beautiful town of Montreal (7 mins drive), where there is a bakery, restaurant, bar, bank and supermarket. The region is renouwned for Armagnac, gascony food and picturesque market towns, so plenty to explore!

We are looking for people who would like to come and help us bring this 19th century Chateau back to life. We love French food, wine and great company!

We are keen to improve our French but also if you are interested in improving your English we can help. It would also be an opportunity to explore the region and a chance to live in a 19th century Chateau.

  • Help

    Help

Living in a chateau gives you the opportunity to learn about its agency history and restoring a building with integrity. We need help with gardening, decorating and general maintenance. We don't need you to have previous experience with renovating old buildings but we do need people who are hands on and practical and happy to get their hands dirty.

You will have your own room, with ensuite and we will provide 3 meals a day. We are not vegetarians but try to eat locally sourced produce where possible and are happy to provide for vegetarians. We do appreciate help with preparing and clearing up and very much enjoy sharing recipes with our volunteers from around the world.

Please be aware that although the chateau is clean, it is old and in need of renovation.
