    Description

We are a French family of 6 + 1 dog. There are the parents Alban (39) and Eva (37), the kids Meryl (11), Leighton (8), Harlan (6) and Georgia (3) and our furry friend Sirius (2) who was adopted during our 2 years stay in Mexico. We are a nomadic family. We lived in Singapore, in different States of the USA (mainly California, Florida, Maryland and Oregon but also spent a year traveling in an RV) and in Mexico (Merida and Campeche). We chose earlier this year to come back in Europe after 10 years abroad to travel closer from the kids grandparents.

Alban is working online from home and Eva is also at home, mainly taking care of the children.

We can speak French, English and Spanish. Our kids are homeschooled. We are vegans since 2016 (we love to cook plant-based meals and share tips about how to reduce animal products while cooking).

Currently we are renting a house in Alcossebre, on the Mediterranean coast, an hour and a half north of Valencia.

We would love to welcome a person who IS open to alternative ways of life, could help us keep the children entertained, do some small house chores or take out our dog on a walk (we have nice trails around the house with great views on the sea).

The traveler will have his/her own bedroom and will share the second bathroom of the house with the kids.

We love to share ourtraveling experience and we will be also very happy to share about cooking plant-based meals.

We speak mainly French but also English and Spanish and are always willing to learn more about different langages and cultures.

As we are in Spain for a limited amount of time, we try to discover the region as much as possible. We love walking in small villages and hiking in nature, learning about the local ecosystem as well as the history of the country.

Close to Alcossebre there are a lot of medieval castles to visit (some are in good shape, like in Peniscola, other are beautiful ruins surrounded by nature like Castell de Xivert). Beaches are just a small drive from the house, downtown Alcossebre is 7/8 minutes from the house.

  • Help

    Help

We would like some help mainly for :

Taking care of the children :

Keep the younger kids (6 and 3 yo) entertained while Eva is doing homeschooling with the older ones

Play with the kids (they love playing chess and other board or dice games, they also love to play outside - we have a small yard)

Read stories, do some creative activities (drawing, origami...)

Help around the house (small chores like sweeping, dishwashing - the pans, we have a dishwasher for smaller items-, put the kids clothes in their closet, help tidying their play space and bedroom...)

We would like a 5 jours help daily from Monday to Friday.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

The travel will have his/her own bedroom and will share the second bathroom with the children. The bedroom has a full size bed, night stand, a chair and a closet.

We expect to share most of the meals together (plant-based, cooked by Eva : traveler is welcome in the kitchen if he/she wants to learn to cook plant-based) but it is also possible for the traveler to have his/her meal apart in his/her bedroom or in the veranda (which offers a small view on the sea).

Thursdays are our family movie nights, we usually eat finger/comfort food and watch a movie together (in French, we can add subtitles).

We like to organize outings in the weekend (hike, visit, restaurants, picnics...) and the traveler is welcome to join.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

The house we are renting currently is not in Downtown Alcossebre and a car is needed to drive there.

Alban will be able to drive in the weekends and occasionnaly in week days. There is a train station 20 minutes from the house from where we could pick up the traveler if needed.

We often plan outings during the week-end, si the traveler can join us or we could drop him/her and pick him/her UP on our way from and to the house.

We are always happy to share moments with travelers but also understand they need their privacy sometimes.

We expect the traveler to respect pour values about veganism and positive parenting (we expect him/her to always interract in a gentle way with our children using patience, non-violent communication and respect).
