Hey Workaway community! 😊
It’s me, Javi:
Hi there! I am currently taking a gap year and I’ve done my master studies in Spain, Italy and Greece.🌏
If I had to pick one word to describe myself, it would be gregarious. I love socializing, meeting new people and sharing both my personal stories and culture. During this summer, I would like to visit a couple of different places around Europe and create valuable connections. It is worthwhile mentioning, that I am a flexible person, willing to help out with various things, especially if it includes learning a new skill :).

Yoli, 24 years old:
Hello!!! I’m an adventurous and active person who loves exploring new places and meeting people from different cultures. I’m from Madrid, but I’ve lived in Tarragona, Salamanca, Ireland, and now Thessaloniki, Greece, finishing my Erasmus year. I’ve travelled a lot across Europe with friends and solo, and my latest adventure took me to Egypt—an unforgettable experience!

This is my first time using Workaway, but I’ve been a volunteer for years, spending time with a Scout group and the Red Cross. I’m passionate about education and working with kids, but I also love deep conversations and hearing different perspectives.

This summer, I want to explore Greece and its islands, dive into the culture, enjoy the food, and learn more about sailing!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Yoli speaking:
I’m finishing my degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in English. Teaching is my passion, but I’m also super curious—if I had to pick another field, it would be journalism!

I speak Spanish, fluent Catalan, have a C1 in English, and know a few words in Greek. I’ve been living independently for almost four years, sharing flats with different people, and volunteering since I was 18—I love being part of the community around me.

Cooking and making coffee for others is my love language! Lately, I’ve also got back into sailing—it’s something I did as a kid, and now I’m hooked again. ⛵️✨
