Hello, I’m Ruki, a 21-year-old Japanese university student.
I’m in my final year of university and have already completed my classes, so I’m spending this time exploring new experiences and challenges — that’s why I joined Workaway!
【Education & Interests】
I major in Marketing. Although I’m still learning and don’t have much hands-on experience yet, I’m very interested in practical marketing and would love to learn more through real situations.
【Work Experience】
I’ve been working part-time for four years at an English-speaking environment inside Japan, where I learned hospitality and communication by serving customers from many countries.
【Volunteering　Experience】
I also joined a WWOOF farming volunteer program, where I helped with grape dipping, packaging, delivery, and sales. Living and working with international volunteers was such a fun and meaningful experience for me.
【What I Can Share】
I can share Japanese culture and have confidence in being thoughtful and considerate toward others (a skill that comes naturally to me!). Recently, I started going to the gym — I’m not a bodybuilder yet, but I’m happy to help with any light physical work.
【My hobby】
I love nature and taking long walks. I also played tennis for about eight years, so I have good stamina. In my free time, I enjoy watching football, especially the Premier League.

【Lastly】
My English is not so well, but I love communicate with people. I'm patient person. I think I'm flexible and easy going personality as well.
I’m excited to meet new people, learn new skills, and help out wherever I can with a positive attitude.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I’ve been working part-time job for about four years in a job where I use English every day to communicate with people from different countries. Through this experience, I’ve learned how to stay calm, considerate, and positive even in busy situations. I take pride in being attentive to others and noticing small details — I guess you could say I’m good at reading the atmosphere haha

I also joined a WWOOF farming volunteer program in Japan, where I helped with grape dipping, packaging, delivery, and even sales with foreigners. It was a great opportunity to experience agriculture and teamwork in a hands-on way.

I also can share Japanese culture, teach basic Japanese, and help with hospitality or customer service. I’m always open to learning new things and supporting others wherever I can. I try to make people feel comfortable and create a friendly environment!
