Hi, We are Tracey (60) and Kevin (62) and are a married couple ( 27 years married). We are travelling Europe for 18 months (2025 into 2026) by bicycle. This is our second long term cycling adventure having done one for all of 2023 in Europe also.

We are from New Zealand and love to slow travel - stopping often to 'workaway' or housesit. We are lifetime volunteers and have done a huge range of different projects. We love to renovate houses, gardens, and we are experienced working with children and have looked after animals and had pets ourselves. We speak English and are on an amazing adventure where we hope to meet lots of new people and have new experiences.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am a qualified accountant but now prefer to spend my time away from a desk. I am a keen renovator / decorator and have much experience in painting interiors and exteriors. I am also an experienced sewer and can make home furnishings. I enjoy being outside doing gardening and construction / renovation work also.

My husband is a horticulturist with loads of experience in landscaping, gardens, irrigation systems and building/construction work. He loves to work with plants and trees of all sorts and is very mechanically minded. Chainsaws, tractors and water blasters? no problem . He is originally from a farm so has many years experience with sheep, cattle and small farm animals, as well as fencing. He is also experienced with bees.

As homeowners ourselves (in New Zealand) we understand what is required to look after a home while housesitting and when volunteering. We have also had dogs and cats as pets and completely know how much of a family member they are to their owners. Tracey has a current Pet First Aid certificate.

We are both fit and strong and keen to be involved in a variety of projects.

Other information we have been asked for:

* We are also both non-smokers/non-vapers.
* We both have current international drivers licences and can both drive manual vehicles. Kevin also has several truck drivers licences.
* We are both fully vaccinated for covid and have had all booster shots including one just prior to coming to Europe.
* We both have full travel medical and emergency insurance for the entire time we plan to be away
* We can provide written police clearance documents as we have no criminal convictions and are cleared to work with children.
* We are meat eaters but just as happy to eat vegetarian or vegan. We are completely flexible.
* Tracey is a non drinker but Kevin likes the occasional beer with company.
* We have no allergies or dietary preferences.

Was noch ...

We love cycling and hiking and anything outdoors. We love to spend time when travelling in small villages and remote locations getting to know the people of a country - not just visiting the main tourist sites (we usually avoid those). Some of our most memorable and fulfilling travel memories are of voluntary projects we have done all around the world.
