Hi, my name is Paulina and I'm a 29 year old girl from Vienna, Austria.

I worked in eCommerce/Marketing for an Austrian Drugstore Company for more than 6 years and finished my studies in corporate communications in 2021. I quit my job at the beginning of 2023 to get some experience living and working abroad. Currently, till November 2024, I am working as a receptionist of 4 star hotel in Polignano a Mare in Puglia, Italy.

I'm in love with the Italian language, culture and country in general. I would like to improve my Italian and spend some time in Italy while making new experiences, meeting people and take some time to myself to have a reset form the past stressful years working in a competitive business environment.

I am really passionate about travelling, yoga, vegan/vegetarian cooking (vegetarian for almost 10 years), animals and learning the Italian language.

I'm was in Italy from June 2023 and stayed till December 2023. My Italian has really much improved in that time and I could already get some experience in hospitality, cleaning, reception, garden work, harvest, cooking and working with animals.

I already was doing the following workaways:
- Allrounder in a B&B and farm in Ispica, Sicily
- Receptionist in a Hostel in Napoli, Campania
- Allrounder on a Campsite in Lido di Ostia, Lazio
- Receptionist in a Hostel in Bari, Puglia
- Marketing, Harvesting and Garden work in an Agriturismo in Catanzaro, Calabria
- Harvest and diverse other work in Ceglie Messapica, Puglia

At the moment my Italian level is B1. Since coming to Italy in June of this year I have improved so much while talking to various people even in different dialects and also from time to time using only Italian during my different workaway experiences. I've spent one month in Rome in 2021 attending a language school and also did my final exam in school in Italian. In Austria I was practicing with an app, by reading books, listening to music, watch movies and attending a language class whenever possible.

We spent 3 weeks with Ann and Fergus and had a really good time with them! We got to sleep in our own house which was a Trulli, typical for that region. It’s hard to put the amazing experience at the Hostel in words. I stayed two months there in September and October and it was one of the best time I had in Italy.
