Beschreibung

Hello there!

We are Matteo and Sofia and we are from Reggio Emilia (Italy).
We used to work before leaving, both as waiters as side-jobs, plus Matteo as a beekeeper 🐝, Sofia as a kindergarten educator.

We decided to give us some time to travel and live abroad, to gain some real-world experience, basically to improve our work, social, language skills and to test our open-mindedness. 🌍
We bought a really small van and decided to make it habitable inside, working on thermal insulation and putting wooden boxes, with a roof tent.

We both love to challenge ourselves having new experiences especially if offered surrounded by nature.
We consider ourselves tidy, considerate, playful and easy to get along with.
We were lucky so far to meet interesting and like-minded wanderers! 🫂

Since we do believe this journey will change many of our perspectives and habits we really look forward to meeting you, being of use to you, and taking pictures together with our analog cameras! 📸(:

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We only started volunteering a few months ago, so most likely everything will be a 'first' time for us. 🌱
We are not afraid to get our hands dirty tho, we're willing to try out and learn as much as possible.

We both have a bachelor degree: Matteo studied natural sciences and Sofia graduate in digital education.
🐝 Matteo is certified as a beekeeper, he has worked almost 3 years on a company-farm where he took care of the bees, the organic and artisanal production of honey and the care of the surroundings gardens, so he might be familiar to many tools. ⛏️
He really likes any kind of manual labor especially if it is done outdoors.

Sofia worked 1 year in a kindergarten and she plans to keep studying in same field afterwards. She did her internship in Paris (2022) and did the aupair in Bruxelles (2023) therefore she knows some French, which she loves, and always find a way to improve it! ✍️

Tasks really varied in the past months: weeding, wheelbarrowing cement/sand, rendering, plastering, sanding and small woodworking, using an impact drill, strimming, planting, making stones mulch around trees, housekeeping, cooking, painting, collecting logs, cleaning the vineyard, you name it! 🌞
