I love travelling, getting to know different cultures and learning new languages. I'm happiest when doing Arts and Music, being near the water and surrounded by nature. Always down for adventure ;)

Beschreibung

Hey :)
My name is Bianca, I am 23 years old and I'm currently doing my masters in Latin American Studies in Berlin. Having grown up between two cultures (brazilian/german), I have learned to appreciate cultural exchange from an early age.
My love for learning new languages and longing for adventure led me to my first experience living abroad in Egypt when I was 19 years old. I did voluntary work at a german school in Cairo and fell in love with the arabic language and egyptian culture, especially the magic of Ramadan.
When I returned to Germany, I decided to study cultural Anthropology as well as Arts, Music and Theatre, to combine two passions of mine. Through my studies I also had the opportunity to do a semester abroad in Manaus, the brazilian Amazon, an experience that (as cheesy as it sounds) definetely changed my perspective on life.

I've heard so many stories about great workaway experiences from my friends and am very glad that I'll finally have the time to experience it myself.
I am eager to learn new things and work wherever help may be needed.
I love experiencing cultures through real life experiences, helping and working with people and believe that a workaway is a great way to do that.

After having explored places in Latin America and Europe, I finally want to get to know more of Africa. That's why my next trip will be to Malawi, where I'm currently looking for an opportunity to make myself useful while I experience the beauty of the country.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I've been working in a vegetable farm in northern Italy in the mountains for all in all 8 months and have seen all the different seasons there.
I had the opportunity to do seeding, planting, harvesting vegetables and harvesting olives, weeding, making vegetable boxes, dry chili peppers, talking to customers, putting down greenhouses and make them ready for the winter, help preparing fire wood and some other things that just come up during life on a farm.
Of course I'm super motivated to try and learn new things and want to help in every possible way! :)

Additionally I also consider myself as a creative person, I like to write and do layout, do photography, make movies, play music and sing.
And i'm a big fan of languages, i speak German of course, English, French, and Italian. Right now I'm learning a bit Nepali and would love to deepen that, but also Hindi and other Indian languages are very interesting to me! I love to learn new languages and am also happy to teach the ones I know.
In general I love to be around other people and am good ad adapting myself to new environments like for example a family:)
