Hello :)

My name is Lina, I am 24 years old and grew up in Germany.
In May, I finished my bachelor's degree in Geography after living in Brest, France for 3 years. So now, I'm taking a year off to breath, work with my hands and get some new experiences before I would start a master's program in fall 2027. This is why, I'm returning to workaway to find inspiring places which would be able to host me.

A little about my experiences so far :
After I finished school, I studied Musicology and Ethnology for one year in Halle, Germany (during that year, I was working as a babysitter as well). The following 2 years, I spent travelling and volunteering around Europe. One of my longest stays was for 7 months in Taizé, France where I was living in a community and helping with the organisation and realisation of youth meetings (including work in a variety of domaines like the kitchen, garden, reception; caretaking activities, group leading in different contexts such as cleaning, language and music practice, ...).
Via workaway, I already spent 3 weeks working on a farm in France and a week with a family in Germany. Other than that, I helped out in places I found myself or heard of from friends -most importantly, I spent half a year volunteering in Brussels in the Belgian organisation Poverello that takes care of homeless and poor people.

So, I have already gathered some divers experiences volunteering and am used to moving around in Europe. I enjoy being outside; working and creating with my hands, both with other people and in some solitude; as well as expressing myself through music and art. And all in all, I love exploring new places, cultures and languages; meeting new people and forming connections along my way.

Specifically, I would love to gather more experiences with working in the field of ecology, nature conservation, environmental education or alternative farming as these topics relate to my studies and future plans.
I'm also especially looking for opportunities to spend some time on a sailing boat. I come with little experience but am more than eager to learn as sailing has been a long time dream, bordering an obsession, of mine.
