We're Li (42) and Mel (32), emgaged, a friendly, easy-going couple currently traveling around beautiful south america and Colombia. We've been exploring this incredible country for the past few weeks—loving the vibrant culture, amazing food, warm people, and diverse landscapes from the Caribbean coast to the mountains and jungles.
We're looking to slow down our travels a bit, connect more deeply with locals, contribute meaningfully, and stretch our budget by doing a Workaway exchange. In return for our hard work (typically 4-5 hours/day, 5 days/week— we're flexible!), we're hoping to find hosts who can offer simple accommodation (private room or shared space is fine, we also have tents)and meals (we are happy to help cook). We're happy to help with whatever you need and excited to immerse ourselves in Colombian life, practice our Spanish, share stories, and make new friends.
We're reliable, respectful, clean, and positive people who enjoy teamwork. We've traveled together for years and work well as a team—Li often takes the lead on practical tasks, while Mel brings creativity and attention to detail. We adaptable to different environments, and love animals, nature, and meeting people from all walks of life.

My partner Mel is amazing. she has the most beautiful energy and gives amazing haircuts for a living. she is always up for a good time, very social, caring and easy-going. Mel has a great work ethic and positive attitude and she rides motorbikes so she's also cool.

I am a qualified primary school teacher and very comfortable with kids. I am the king of the kids because I am a big kid myself who really understands where they are at due to the nature of my job.

I have a diploma in permaculture design and implementation. I have run workshops and helped out in quite a few permaculture projects. I have worked on farms and cared for animals goats and chickens mainly but i love all animals. We have a house back in Australia and in my free time I love to do jobs around the house. I know how important and satisfying it is to get new projects happening.

I have travelled though India and China studying yoga, Pranayama as well as Taoist healing, tai chi, Qi gong, meditation, massage and more.
