Beschreibung

I'm a mountain kid at heart. I grew up in north Montana and will always love rivers and mountains and open spaces. And, at the same time, my hometown is unique in its love and support for the arts, especially theater. My dad was a carpenter and my mom was a professional dancer and theater producer. So I grew up working on farms, construction sites, and then observing rehearsals at night.

I went to college in Middlebury, VT where I majored in film. I received some credits for that diploma in Bordeaux France at Michel de Montagne IV, where my ability to speak French advanced from "bad" to "passable." (As of this writing, it is "dusty.")

I moved to Los Angeles after college and started working in film and video, as well as getting involved in revitalization projects along the LA River, and working in urban food distribution. During my days in LA, I also played in surf punk bands as a drummer and singer.

After five years in LA, I decided to come back to Montana because this is where my soul lives. I started a small video production business and delved deeper into live music, playing in bands with my friends and family. I also help run a small independent cinema and a backyard theater company here in Missoula. In 2023 I created a cooperative with my building and bought my apartment. My neighbors, my webbed community, my town are the things I love and appreciate more than anything.

I am motivated by music (both playing and experiencing), performing arts, and by the natural world. If you have a swimming hole, or a hot spring, or a very old tree, or a hike that you want to show me, I am generally game. Ditto for a live music show, especially where there is singing. I love singing and listening to singers.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I'm a professional video editor, so am savvy with media, computers, and generally organizing and executing events. I am a decent drummer, a medium singer, and a sub-par guitar player as well. I used to speak French quite well but am rusty these days. I also have some experience in light construction and electrical, though I'm no expert. Same goes for garden and farm work: I've got experience working in farms and gardens, but have a lot to learn. My greatest skill is honestly that I learn fast and enjoy working.
