We're currently traveling in Japan (where we met), and are heading to Tasmania together on September 18th! We're excited to see more of the world together and have some new experiences and meet new people.

Info:
We don't have a car in Tasmania yet, but are planning on purchasing one for our travels.
We're both vegetarian.

Hi! I'm Jessica.

I’m Japanese-Canadian, born in Canada, living in Japan for the past two years. I’ve traveled a bit in Brazil, Poland, and Scotland. I’ve been travelling and doing seasonal work since 2022. I've worked a mix of jobs: ski lift ops, tree planting, English teaching, nonprofit education, hospitality, music festivals, and radio broadcasting.

I speak fluent English and Japanese. I like creative writing, reading (fiction and nonfiction), hiking, snowboarding, being in nature, and trying new things. I've spent time on family friends' homesteads in Canada and found the culture and lifestyle interesting. I'm hoping to learn more about the homesteading lifestyle and about sustainability and permaculture.

Hi !
I'm Dorian, I'm a French woodworker specialized in fine woodworking (small furnitures, boxes, intricate work, etc) with many other interests such as landscape and city photography, language learning, gardening, gamedesign and coding, pixel art, animation and many other stuff! I grew up in the French Alps, so I also love to hike and ski!

I've used workaway before during my year in New-Zealand and I just loved it. Thanks to this website I met people I would’ve never met otherwise, most of them were lovely, shared their life and their culture with me and I still have fond memories of the time I spent with them.
I’ve just spent a year in Japan (Where I met Jess) and really liked it, would have stayed longer if the visa allowed me to.

I speak English fluently, a bit of Japanese (I'm still learning!) and obviously french.
I’m ready to move on to Tasmania and discover the lifestyle and culture of the place!
