Hello there!

I'm Jen, 27, Korean-American, technology professional, born and raised in the US. I have plentiful work experience in the service sector: YMCA (conference center), Cafe, retail store, etc.

My core values are Perspective, Service, and Simplicity - doing workaway and meeting people from all walks of life ties well into my current purpose & meaning.

I have done a previous Workaway at a wonderful Hostel in Mexico City, off-the-grid eco-building in the Canadian mountains near Vancouver, Canada, and off-the-grid childcare and building maintenance in Costa Rica

I studied abroad during college and learned to appreciate cultures and societal norms beyond this "bubble" that we live in:
-things we take for granted
-things we expect to be true about all people
-things we didn't know that we didn't know

I believe that travel is about broadening your perspective and building relationships with people.
I value self-development, social justice, seeing the uniqueness and unifying factors of people, and nurturing those around us. I am a firm believer that peace in our community and society starts from understanding & acceptance of everyone. (We dont have to agree, but we must respect.)

Was noch ...

I enjoy playing cards, chess, and many more games. I love reading and learning about philosophy and spirituality. I also like to cook and bake (see pictures below :)

In my free time, I try to learn new skills! On my list is: learning japanese, salsa dancing, and to play the drums.
