Hello, my name is Ola. I am from Poland and I've just finished my bachelor’s degree in oceanography. I plan to continue my studies, but first I want to take a gap year and travel a little bit. I really want to see new places and broaden my horizons. I’ve never managed to travel as much as I wanted, so I decided to finally do this.

I lived in Malta and in Iceland for a little while and both of them were amazing experiences. I loved seeing new places and learning about different cultures. I feel those trips taught me a lot, especially about myself. So I want this to be a year of experiencing, but also of finding peace, learning about myself, and looking at my life from a different perspective.

In my free time I like to read, spend time in nature and paint. I am interested in many topics, but mostly wildlife, oceanography and psychology. When it comes to my personality, I am usually calm, with bursts of energy from time to time. My friends always say that I bring a lot of peace and that I am a good listener. But I must say, I am a little bit shy and it takes me some time to open up. I mention this in case you are looking for a very open and energetic person – but I am working on it!

Although I can be shy, I am very open-minded and respectful. I am eager to work, help you with your projects, and learn. I have experience in housekeeping and as a waitress. I was also raised on a farm, so I have some experience working with animals and I am not afraid of physical work or getting dirty. I also have basic skills like cooking and cleaning. But I am open to help you with anything you need me to do, if you show me how. To be honest, I would be more than happy to learn some construction work, repairing or gardening, as I would love to have my own house one day.

Sometimes, when I visited my family, I helped them with taking care of cows and chickens. I was also a volunteer at the horse stable. So I have some experience with animals. Maybe I don't have many skills but I'm a quick learner.

I'm an introvert so at first, I may be a little quiet. But I'm a positive, warm and calm person. I love to learn new skills and I will try my best to be a good helper.
