I'm back on the Workaway trail!! I may be headed to your neck of the woods!
For the past nine years I have been living in the stunning PNW redwood haven that is Arcata, California. I've found an amazing team of friends and colleagues, and together we've created a boutique inn located in the heart of this eclectic and progressive area. We provide an adorable and therapeutic stay to our guests for their various local events and celebrations. I've been the onsite resident manager responsible for--among lots of things--tending our serene oasis courtyard and bathhouse, complete with waterfalls and fishponds, and helping manage our sixteen studio and one-bedroom suites.

I'm originally from northern California but have been traveling on and off through Australia, Bali, Bolivia, Brazil, Fiji, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Croatia, Norway, Netherlands, Iceland, the UK and more since I was nineteen-years-old.
I'm also an aspiring author and poet (please check out my poetry blog link), and seek to gain vital international experiences for organic farming and sustainability, as well as character and setting development for my novels and poems.
I have a BS in arts and letters from Portland State University, with a focus on environmental sciences and native green-space connectivity. I dream to one day build my own Earthship-style home, and I'm passionate about farm & garden-to-table gastronomy.
I love animals and babies, and they usually love me :)
I miss the Workaway life very much, and I hope to impress you, too, with my skills and sensibility as I have from all my excellent experiences with Workaway hosts so far!
I'm fully vaccinated for Cov-19 with Pfizer double doses, along with up-to-date booster shots. More than happy to provide proof via CDC vaccination record card.
I have international travel+medical insurance for the entirety of my adventures!

First and foremost, I have excellent organizational skills and I'm a hygienic and tidy person with a fine attention and appreciation to detail without being overly zealous. I enjoy helping contribute to an already-beautiful energy and style with my own unique touches.
Many years of gardening/farming and general labor, maintenance and landscaping on family and friends' properties.
Weeding/mulching.
Fire-building and safety.
Invasive species removal.
Deep cleaning. Deep.
Confidence with tractor and machine competency, including power tools and saws.
Greenhouse/nursery care. Water conservation.
Alpaca farming. Various pet and animal care, bathing and grooming.
Tinkering/metals cleaning and polishing. Artistic frame/antiques restoration.
Sanding, filling, and exterior painting. Construction, interior painting, and decoration.
Most notably, almost three decades of global kitchen and hospitality experience. Detail cleaning, prepping, harvesting, cooking and storing. I'd love to wow you with my healthy and delicious meals!

IT and computer science, including nearly all forms of domestic technology.
Electrical, plumbing, and carpentry general knowledge and practice.
Pool and spa maintenance/chemistry, including fish ponds and care.
I can help teach English, and some basic Spanish.
I've been barbering my own hair for over 12 years and can cut and trim others' too!
I love to knit and can teach the basics.
I prefer second-hand shopping/exchanges. Repurposing and recycling.

I am a hard worker that loves doing so, especially if the work directly aids those in need or otherwise affects humanitarian/environmentalist causes. I deeply believe in sustainability and renewable forms of living, organic farming, and positive energy. I do not believe in profit, and I wish to make this kind of international community work the foundation of my career.
