Hi! I’m Irene, 18 years old, from Genoa, Italy. I’ve just finished high school and decided to take a gap year to explore new cultures, step out of my comfort zone, and grow as a person.
I was raised in a bilingual family—my dad is Italian, my mom is Colombian—so I speak both Italian and Spanish, although I’d love to improve my Spanish again through practice.
I’m introverted by nature, but very motivated to open up, meet new people, and try new things. I love animals (especially dogs—I have one named Chia), reading, photography, and cinema.
I’m open to helping with anything—I’m here to learn, contribute, and experience something meaningful! -

Was könntest du arbeiten?
I currently volunteer at a dog shelter in Genoa, where I help care for the animals and support with cleaning and other daily tasks. I’ve also gained some hands-on experience working outdoors: my uncle has a small house in the woods surrounded by land, and I occasionally help him with maintenance and small jobs around the property.
Cooking is one of my biggest passions. My father is a chef, so I grew up in the kitchen, learning by watching and helping from a very young age. I love preparing meals and trying new recipes. I also have some work experience as a waitress in catering services, which helped me develop good communication and teamwork skills.
In my free time, I enjoy photography, it’s one of my favorite hobbies and something I’m quite good at. -
