Hi everybody,

My name is Gerald. I was born in Austria in 1969 and live near Vienna. I am open-minded, communicative, have a good sense of humor and like to cook, garden, sing and dance. My children are Elias (2001) and Lea (2003). I am a teacher working with students from 10 to 19 at public schools. After studying Spanish many years ago I also finished my Master's in Teaching English in 2014 and recently my diploma in teaching German as a foreign language. I lived e.g. in Ecuador and Argentina, travelled to other Spanish speaking countries and enjoy getting to know new people and places. There are also some Italian language skills left from my school time.
After two years working with hearing impaired students aged 10 to 19 as a special education teacher in the public school system I am a regular teacher again. I volunteered in many social projects (homeless young adults, disabled people, drug addicts …) when I was younger. In the last few years, I worked with Syrian/Afghan/Iraqui refugees at my school by teaching them German and English as a foreign language. For a few years I was the president of an NGO dealing with the foundation and implementation of a fair trade shop in my district. As a workawayer I was making good experiences in a B&B in Florida, an Arabic youth hostel in Jerusalem and in a language cafe in Seoul/South Korea.

Teaching Spanish, German, English (all ages), teaching all other lower secondary school subjects (until the age of 15), like cooking, swimming, biking, working with hearing impaired people or other people with disabilities, child caring, doing chores, very communicative, a good laugh, lived and/or volunteered in Spain/Ecuador/Argentina/Mexico/US, travelled to Costa Rica, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Rumania, Cuba, Germany, Croatia, Turkey, Norway, the USA. Like to organise things, e.g. excursions or language courses abroad, good at office work, used to tourists and tourist accomodation work (my parents had a B&B)
