We're Floortje and Leon, we've met 9 months ago on a Caribbean island, the last six months we've spend on a Dutch island where Leon owns a kitesurfing school (https://www.kitespot.school) this school is open in the European summer, winter is time to travel for us! We love to do kitesurfing, surfing, snorkeling, swimming, hiking, horseback riding and calisthenics. We love spending most of our time outdoors and enjoy nature. We don't smoke and rarely drink alcohol. We're positive, adventurous, high energy, loving and social people. We're currently travelling New Zealand and we will start work in Kaikoura very soon. We're hoping to experience the kiwi's and New Zealand through Workaway since this platform attracts warm people. We're keen to help and learn!
There has been a lot of confusion that we are vegan, I don’t know where it is seems so in our profile but we eat everything!

I have been around animals as long as i can remember. If you have pets i can guarantee you that i will bond with them, especially with dogs. I have been a vet-assistent in Curaçao, where i learned a lot about animals and animal behaviour. I have had the responsibility of taking care of and training three horses in my life and i used to give horse riding lessons to little kids and autistic kids.

I also have a lot and broad experience in babysitting. I've always been good with kids. My mom is a kindergarten teacher so i would like to believe it's in my genes.

I also really love watersports. I grew up on different kinds of boats and i had my own laser sailboat when i was young. I also love surfing and especially kitesurfing. This summer i've been working on Ameland to become a kitesurfing instructor. And i also have been working on becoming an instructor on al kinds of activities on the beach. For example powerkiting and blowkarting.

I love to be around nature. I don't have much experience in gardening or building but i am a hard worker and fast learner, so i'm sure i'll pick it up in no time.

For the last six years i've been the owner of a kitesurfing school where i got a lot of tasks. I studied Sports management where I was teaching a broad variety of sports to kids and adults. The last 6 years I've traveled every winter and did work on a pirate ship:-). Did gardening in Australia and i was taking care of two cows. I've had a dog myself and almost every other pet when i was a kid. I'm playful myself and kids love to go on an adventure with me. I like to cook and i am a responsible driver on/off road.

Was noch ...

We are a couple that can easily entertain themselves with simple things. We have been living in a caravan on Ameland for six months and still loving it. But we're also hard workers and won't say no to chores. We would love to learn a lot about New Zealand and also be in as much nature as we can. We're both social people so we would love to play board games if you're up for it.
