I would say I'm reserved, yet easy-going. I have a very casual manner and like to think of myself as warm and sympathetic, patient and supportive. I think everyone deserves respect and the opportunity to better themselves despite their background. Oh, and like anyone, I love having a good laugh.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Currently volunteering in a hostel, and would prefer to do more of the same or go to a farm (especially a coffee farm!).

I've spent most of the last year in language schools, both as a volunteer and as a full-fledged teacher. Additionally I've worked with students outside of schools to improve their English and have helped make videos for language learners.

Before deciding to pursue teaching I worked on a local farm harvesting vegetables, weeding, weighing and bagging, stocking, and miscellaneous other tasks as they came up. Elsewhere I've also spent time working with farm animals, primarily chickens, but also pigs, providing basic care such as feeding / watering.
Additionally, I've done some landscape work here and there. Mostly basic care and clearing and removal of overgrowth. I have some experience transplanting and pruning trees, though this is pretty basic knowledge.
Lastly, I should mention that I've helped out with concrete work and small-scale construction projects. I should stress that I have no expertise in construction, but have merely provided a helping hand to more knowledgeable people.

Was noch ...

Besides language and language learning, I am big on music. I like to explore new types of music (non-pop usually), especially foreign music. Of greatest interest are jazz, folk musics, and progressive rock.
I've been playing music for many years as well. Most of that time has been spent with guitar, but I can play the keyboard a bit too. I think I could probably teach some basic music theory, such as intervals, chord formation, chord-scale relationships, and how to read music.

Other interests are exploring new areas (in town and in nature), reading, and meditation. I get along pretty well with animals and have taken care of dogs and cats.
