Hello! I'm Chloe :) I love windy days, word games, music, a good cup of tea... And I love physical labor (seriously), sustainability, and people, so I thought Workaway would be a great way to tap those interests. I'm a curious person, looking for new communities and places, new skills, new perspectives... maybe by accident I'll also be introduced to a life-calling! Haha.

When I say I am a beginner in French, I am a beginner!!!! I studied the language in school but have lost much of my skill over the last few years. But I would love to practice/work towards conversational fluency. And I am a TRUE beginner of Vietnamese - as of November 2025 I know nothing except the numbers 1-6 and a few food words...

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I love working outdoors - getting my hands/clothes dirty, doing anything that makes me physically tired at the end of a day! I can repeatedly lift 45lb (20kg) canoes over my head and I've cleared entire trees away to a brush pile. I like feeling useful.

I'm pretty great at engaging kids - running around, building forts, playing make-believe, playing any type of game really (not so much video games, but happy to try!), reading books, talking with them about their interests...

I LOVE to learn new things, and I am, at least I've been told, pretty fast at it - I learned the basics of how to row in an 8 racing shell in a matter of days, I learned how to shape bread quickly enough that they hired me off no previous experience, I successfully repaired a rip in the side of a canoe after watching a demonstration of how to mix/apply the resin and fiberglass once... I am enthusiastic and eager to help!

Was noch ...

I love pretty much any card game! I enjoy crosswords as long as they're clever. I like to sketch/draw people, and I love to read. I am always looking for someone with whom to talk about books. I love long walks and the occasional run. I adore a good cup of tea and I love eating fruits and vegetables as a snack. My sister and I joke that we must have been rabbits in a past life, and some people seem shocked that we'll just chomp down on a bag of plain carrots, but seriously, what's better than a good carrot?
