Beschreibung

Hi there! We're a couple, Adrián from Spain (34 y/o) and Caterina from Italy (31 y/o). At the beginning of 2024, we decided to quit our jobs in Barcelona and travel around the world without return tickets. We completed our one-year journey through Southeast Asia in April 2025, discovering new places, learning about different lifestyles, and meeting local people as well as other travellers. From May 2025 until June 2026, we lived in Australia. Now, after leaving Australia behind, we are beginning a new chapter and a new work adventure in Taupō, New Zealand. We believe that Workaway is a great way to connect with locals, learn, and share our knowledge as we continue exploring new cultures.

We are particularly interested in learning about agriculture, wildlife, and hospitality, and we are happy to lend a hand teaching children and exchanging knowledge with adults, as well as assisting with manual work.

We consider ourselves flexible, adaptable people, and very interested.

Adrián has a background as a food engineer, working as an auditor of animal welfare (e.g., management and breeding of animals) and in the meat industry. He is accustomed to interacting with different people and has a lot of patience for teaching. He enjoys adventure sports, trekking, scuba-diving, and social activities.

Caterina has a background as an energy engineer, having managed various projects for renewable energy and sustainable development, thus gaining extensive experience in managing and dealing with different people around the world. She loves cooking, music, and arts in general. She considers herself a kind and empathetic individual.

We both love food, animals, socializing, and being in contact with nature. We have small experience with agriculture, and we would love to expand our knowledge and contribute in this area!

Adrián has a background as a food engineer, working as an auditor of animal welfare (e.g., management and breeding of animals), in the meat industry and wine making. He is accustomed to interacting with different people and has a lot of patience for teaching.

Caterina has a background as an energy engineer, having managed various projects for renewable (solar) energy and sustainable development, thus gaining extensive experience in managing and dealing with different people around the world. She can cook and play music instruments.

We are quick learners and can adapt to a wide variety of tasks! We don't mind getting our hands dirty and being helpful with manual work.

Adrian worked hard in my Garden mulching hay, and planted over 40 trees in his 2-3 week stay with me. He loved my whipper snipper and really made a difference to some of my Wild areas.

We absolutely loved our stay at Carla, Bruce, Abby and Maya’s home. The granny flat, the wonderful green nature, the swimming pool, the lovely dogs Rainbow, Deedee and Lulu, and the quiet surroundings were all fantastic, but most of all we appreciated the amazing company of such an open and welcoming family who made us feel at home.
