Hello!

My name is Erik and i'm 28 years old, by origin / birth from the Czech republic. Almost my entire life, since young age, i have been residing, living and working in the netherlands where i've also grown up since youth. I've joined the workaway for a simple premise. Explore, Learn, Understand and Grow. I'm currently on a journey with my bicycle across the world!

Apart of that i was always an independent, self propelled individual with creative ideas on my mind. Daily work routine for years and years to come was never something that has quite fullfilled me hence I've chosen to invest time of my life into seeking better future for myself. My ultimate goal is to build a homestead in norway and later transform it into independent, symbiotic eco-village, however before that will come to fruition, i'd like to use workaway as a tool to learn and gather more information and knowledge that can help me realistically implement my vision into the world, yet aswell, workaway is a way for me to meet new people, understand new languages, and comprehend unknown cultures.

I'm also a abstinent! That means i do not smoke, drink or use any form of substances.

I'm a lover and a strong enjoyer of harsh, raw cold weather. I enjoy true nature in its absolute unfiltered beauty. Storms bring the best out of me and i have a close relationship to the sea and Mountains. I'm a big fan of "Friluftsliv"! I'm also Cryophilic, which means that cold is a pleasant element to me and majority of time i don't mind it and even prefer it. However as contrast to the rawness, i do enjoy a time of cozyness, or "hygge" without compromises. Sometimes, a good coffee and thick socks can fix all the tough days.

My other hobbies also include traditional material processing and forging ( historical blunt and sharp weapons, armors and accessories ). I have never made one, but I'm intrigued and very curious about knowledge of forging and working with materials, especially in traditional ways.

I'm indefinitely interested in deep cultural exchange and Language Learning, specifically dwelling into any nordic/ Scandinavian culture and language.

I'm an experienced nomad as i have travelled central europe for 4 times with my partner and went through some love filled, adventure boosted journeys that molded me into person I'm grateful to be today.

Bit about myself :
I love good, clear communication, mutual support, comprehension and understanding. I'm an altruist and gain joy from giving genuine help to others, which can in other words also be acts of service. I'm a strongly community oriented person and love to work as a unit or as a good and well organized team.

My hobbies include languages, social matters and i also make electronic avant garde pop music in my free time on my computer.

Last but not least, i'm a polygot! Languages are my huge hobby and i enjoy learning languages as a part of my daily routine.

I enjoy playing board games, explore places together, playing videogames, hanging out with animals, philosophy discussions and such! I have a huge passion and connection to animals of any sort.
