Beschreibung

Hi! Our names are Lexi and Maddie and we are first year students at the University of Vermont and Cornell University. We are originally from Northern Connecticut.
We keep ourselves mentally happy and healthy by being active and chasing the mountains. We love hiking, running, yoga, bouldering, playing sports (pickle ball is so fun), lifting weights, and pretty much anything else that gets our body moving. Lexi also loves being creative and expressing herself through art. She spends much of her free time painting, drawing, or recreating projects she sees on Pinterest. Maddie has a special love for music and science, playing French horn and piano for many years and majoring in Engineering at Cornell.
Most of our motivation in life comes from connections though! Whether it be meeting strangers on the street or the families and friends of our loved ones, we are always looking to hear peoples stories and thoughts. The mountains and connecting with people guide our travels and makes us happiest! We could not be more excited to have found this organization and continue our travels!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have been working in the food industry for many years, including restaurants and cafes. I've held the role of assistant manager, server, hostess, etc (I love working and staying busy with multiple jobs)! I also have experience in caring for kids and animals. At my own home I have experience caring for chickens, ducks, bunnies, and dogs, as well as outdoor and indoor gardening. I also am many years older than my youngest brother and spent a lot of time caring for him.
I would be so very interested in growing my skillset within gardening and construction. I love DIY projects and being creative.

Maddie has also worked in the food industry as a waitress and barista for a few years, while also working in retail as a cashier as well. She also loves gardening and cooking and helps her family tend to the garden during the summer. She has been involved with local hiking trails and participated in lots of trail cleanups and other volunteer work involving nature.

We love music and learning about others music tastes! We would be so interested to hear more culturally diverse music. In general we are so excited to learn any hobbies/skills/lessons our hosts have to share.
