We are seeking to do cultural exchange with a dedicated and willing to learn female that enjoys new fun experiences to join our vibey household as a Workawayer with a proven track record of helping with young children, cooking and managing daily household tasks. We looking at least a 2 month committed stay.
We are a Swiss / South African Family, living close to Zürich city and right by lake Zürich, 500m) and offer a cultural exchange to a lady that loves to be social and open who can look after and play/teach younger children. We speak two languages with our children (Swiss German and English). We however suggest that if you come to improve your english, please don't apply with us, do a workaway in England rather.
You are of course are part of the family meaning your welcome to eat with us and all living expenses are covered by us. During the week you will be working however you will have some free slots. During the weekends we often explore different Swiss locations or going to meet family/friends, where you are welcome to join us. You have a super nice separate guest room with an on suite bathroom, Apple TV, hispeed internet and you also get your own data simcard. We love to cook but also to try out your local food or having braai (South African word for BBQ) and local wines even :)
You need to be a social person. If you are shy do not apply. We suggest you connect with people from your own culture while you here, this helps you to connect with more people and to find balance after a long week. You need to get out the house as well. Do this as often as possible.
In exchange for this, we need help to take care of our two lovely little kids (Girl 5 and Boy 3 years old), cooking some lunches and suppers with basic household tasks. If you can not cook, please also do not apply.
You need to have experience and love to play and teach young children as they will in return love you back !! Having a younger sibling is not the "experience" we looking for, you need to have been a baby sitter, nanny or managed children this age. If you can not change a nappy, please also don't apply. If you can provide extra hours above the 20-25 hours per week we can also provide payment in return, which we can agree upon first. Don't expect this from the get go.
Screen time is not allowed however you have an arsenal toys and activates that you can use. We have various playgrounds either right outside or around our area. There is also a indoor swimming pool you can use or the local outside swimming pool (Badi).

We are a located very close to the lake Zürich and an hour away from most tourist locations including some mountains
You can practice speaking English or learning Swiss German.
We encourage you to talk your local language to the kids.
