Hi!

My partner Levi and I are two Kiwis from New Zealand who love the outdoors. We love travelling, experiencing new cultures, hiking, surfing and camping with friends and are excited for our next adventure in Turkey. We are both very interested in learning more about permaculture and dream of creating a food forest and small permaculture farm of our own one day.

We are 29 & 30 years old - I have been working in medicine as a doctor for the past 3 years and Levi has been working in Human Resources. Levi also has a wide array of practical skills having grown up on a farm, worked as a professional painter and has excellent building & carpentry skills.

We are excited for a Workaway in Turkey for a number of reasons. We’d love to learn more about permaculture and organic farming and are passionate about nature and food. My father is also from Turkey and so I would love the opportunity to connect more with the land and people and learn more of the language and heritage. I am also a passionate cook and would love to spend time preparing meals and learn how to preserve and pickle produce. As a doctor, I’m also very curious about medicinal herbs and other traditional medicine and exchange knowledge.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I’ve been working as a doctor for the past 3 years so have lots of experience in first aid and am happy to provide care if required.
Growing up, I worked in my family’s Turkish restaurant helping with meal preparations, interacting with customers and running large events/bookings and would love to share these skills, particularly cooking, with our host family.

Levi is a ‘Jack of all trades’ kind of person, he has worked in many different fields including business management, house painting, recruitment, restored retro caravans, managed hospitality luxury farm stays, as well as milked cows as a teenager. He also knows his way around a motor/mechanics.
