About us

We are a French couple traveling long-term through South America. In France, we are both engineers, and we chose to take time away from our professional careers to experience different working environments and travel at a slower pace.
We travel mainly by hitchhiking and we often camp for practical and logistical reasons.

Workaway allows us to stay longer in one location, contribute in a concrete way, and build meaningful exchanges with our hosts.

Our main skills 👨🏻‍🍳:
Hospitality & Cooking
We both have experience in the hospitality and restaurant industry, and cooking is one of our strongest skills.
We are very comfortable cooking for groups (20+ people), organizing meals, helping in kitchens, bars or cafés, and supporting daily operations. Théo is particularly interested in kitchen or bar-related tasks, but we are both flexible and enjoy working as a team.

Our background as engineers makes us organized, reliable and quick learners, even in new environments.

Other tasks we can help with ⚒️ :
While we are not professional builders or craftsmen, we are motivated and learn quickly when shown. We can help with:
– Gardening and basic farm tasks
– Painting and light renovation
– General help, cleaning, organizing spaces
– Helping with animals
– Daily life support for hosts

Languages :
– French: native
– English: fluent (C1 level)
– Spanish: beginner, improving quickly and motivated to practice

Our mindset & personality ☀️

We are sociable, calm, independent, cheerful and open-minded. We enjoy meeting people, working as a team, and adapting to different environments.
We value clear communication, mutual respect and balanced exchanges. We take our commitments seriously and are happy to stay one or two weeks (or longer if it suits everyone), especially when the experience is positive for both sides.

We would be happy to contribute to your project and share daily life with you.

Sobre nosotros 🌍

Somos una pareja francesa viajando a largo plazo por América del Sur. En Francia, ambos somos ingenieros especializados en energía y medio ambiente, y decidimos tomarnos un tiempo fuera de nuestras carreras profesionales para descubrir otros entornos de trabajo y viajar a un ritmo más tranquilo.

Viajamos exclusivamente haciendo dedo 🚗✋, y a menudo acampamos por razones prácticas y logísticas. Cuando nos instalamos en un lugar para una experiencia Workaway, apreciamos tener un espacio cómodo y bien organizado para vivir y trabajar. Workaway nos permite quedarnos más tiempo en un mismo lugar, contribuir de manera concreta y crear intercambios reales con nuestros anfitriones 🤝.

Nuestras principales habilidades – Hospitalidad y cocina 🍽️

Ambos tenemos experiencia en el sector de la hostelería y la restauración, y la cocina es una de nuestras mayores fortalezas.
Nos sentimos muy cómodos cocinando para grupos grandes (más de 20 personas), organizando comidas, ayudando en cocinas, bares o cafés, y apoyando las operaciones diarias. Théo está especialmente interesado en tareas relacionadas con cocina o bar 🍻, pero ambos somos flexibles y disfrutamos trabajar en equipo.

Nuestra formación como ingenieros nos hace personas organizadas, responsables y con gran capacidad de aprendizaje. Además, nos interesan especialmente las tareas relacionadas con proyectos ambientales, sostenibilidad, energía o iniciativas ecológicas 🌱, cuando es posible.

Otras tareas en las que podemos ayudar 🔧

Nos sentimos cómodos trabajando tanto en interiores como al aire libre, y no tenemos miedo al trabajo físico. Aunque no somos artesanos profesionales, somos motivados y aprendemos rápido cuando se nos explica. Podemos ayudar con:
– Jardinería, agricultura y tareas al aire libre 🌿
– Actividades relacionadas con el medio ambiente o la sostenibilidad
– Pintura y renovaciones ligeras
– Ayuda general, limpieza y organización de espacios
– Cuidado de animales 🐾
– Apoyo en la vida diaria de los anfitriones

Idiomas 🌐

– Francés: lengua materna
– Inglés: fluido (nivel C1)
– Español: principiante, en progreso y muy motivados para practicar

Nuestra mentalidad y personalidad 😊

Somos personas muy sociables, positivas y abiertas. Conocer gente nueva es una de las principales razones por las que viajamos haciendo autostop, y realmente disfrutamos compartir comidas, conversaciones y buenos momentos con nuestros anfitriones y otros voluntarios.
Somos independientes, tranquilos y responsables, pero también relajados y con ganas de participar en la vida en grupo. Valoramos la comunicación clara, el respeto mutuo y los intercambios equilibrados, y nos tomamos nuestros compromisos muy en serio.
