G'Day, I'm Steve.

An Aussie with a strong work ethic, living by the motto "experience over possessions."

I'm travelling long-term and always seeking new challenges and meaningful experiences. I'm hardworking, reliable, responsible, and flexible in both mindset and skills.

I'm looking for opportunities that allow me to connect with local people, immerse myself in different cultures, and form genuine friendships along the way.

With five years' experience as a Scuba Diving Instructor, a background in various industries, and a lifelong passion for music, I bring strong communication skills and a proactive approach to any role. I understand the value of contributing to a shared goal and take pride in being a trustworthy and dependable team member.

My interests to explore life are by staying active and healthy, playing the ukulele and singing, enjoying live music, salsa dancing, and spending time outdoors, on two wheels where possible. I love pushing the edges of my comfort zone and thrive in diverse, inclusive environments that encourage curiosity and connection.

--Caretaker, Nukulevu Island, Fiji
Looking after 5 dogs, raking leaves & ground maintenance, repairs & maintenance to buildings, collecting & removing rubbish from the beach, rain water collection.
--S.S. Yongala, PADI Dive Master, Queensland, Australia.
See further below for details... this was a privately organised volunteer position that ended with employment.

Guesthouse reception duties.
Promoting and selling private tours and transfers.
Learning local knowledge and passing this onto the guests.
Taking promotional photo's and video for web and social media.
Cooking breakfast for guests.
Housekeeping.
Creation of daily procedures log.
Implementation of reservation channel manager system. (linking various channels to one reservation system)
Guesthouse "sitting" while the owners were on vacation.
--Organic Lemon Farm, Curacavi, Chile:
Feeding dogs and chickens at the farm.
General yard maintenance incl. pool cleaning and mowing of lawns.
Cleaning the hacienda.
Weeding, irrigation, planting and general maintenance of the vegetable garden.
Farm hand maintenance incl. collect and chop firewood, cleaning extra debris, cutting down unwanted trees within the orchard.

--Transport industry Spare Parts Interpretation and Service Adviser roles including Workshop Liaising and Administration, Computer Knowledge, Customer Service over the phone and face to face.
Retail Customer Service and Sales.
--Furniture Removals, Team Leader role including Truck Driving, Customer Liaising and Heavy Lifting.
