Beschreibung

Ronja:This is my first time in New Zealand. After finishing my studies in clinical psychology I decided to take some time off before I start working in my profession. I love being outdoors; climbing, hiking, running, or exploring new places on my bike always makes me happy. Staying active and connected to nature gives me a lot of energy. I’m also really motivated by working together with others and reaching goals as a team. For me, it’s all about good vibes, sharing experiences, and being part of a fun, supportive community.

Apart from this I also enjoy more relaxing activities like board games or reading.

André:My name is André and this is my second time in New Zealand. My first stay here was in 2016/2017, right after I finished my degree in physical engineering, specializing in laser technology. I enjoyed it so much that I quit my job in Germany last year and am now here for a second time, this time with my girlfriend.

Last time in New Zealand, I worked in various orchards and a kiwi packhouse. I picked different fruits, did apple thinning and kiwi pruning.

After my stay in New Zealand, I worked in Germany as an engineer for laser systems with worldwide travel, as a sales engineer in eastern Germany, and at my second employer as a regional account manager for instrumental analytics.

I am an open and sociable person, eager to learn new things and physically resilient. I really enjoy being outdoors for all kinds of activities and like to push myself to my limits. I enjoy meeting new people from different countries and cultures and sharing stories.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

(Ronja) I’m just starting out with Workaway, so I don’t have experience on-site yet — but I’m really excited to learn and get involved! In Germany, I’ve worked in childcare and household support, so I’m used to taking responsibility and helping where it’s needed. I’m a quick learner, enjoy trying new things, and don’t mind getting my hands dirty. I’m motivated, reliable, and always happy to lend a hand and pick up new skills along the way.

We enjoy most board and card games (except Monopoly or similar ones 😄). We love reading and always appreciate good book recommendations. We also enjoy trying out new sports or creative activities whenever we get the chance!
