Hi! My name is Nour, I’m 22 years old and from Paris.
I'm currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Political Science, with a specialization in International Relations and Humanitarian Studies, at Sorbonne Paris, and I have strong knowledge in environmental geopolitics and sustainable development.
Before that, I studied philosophy, French literature, and history, and I also hold a diploma in rhetoric, mythology, and classical cultures.

🌍 I'm passionate about discovering the world, connecting with people, and living meaningful adventures.
I’ve travelled solo through Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East— and I’m always ready for the next journey!
My main goal through Workaway is especially to improve my English, but also to live a unique cultural experience, share my positive energy, and contribute in a helpful and respectful way.

I'm French with Algerian roots, I speak classical Arabic (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension), I practice Arabic calligraphy, and I’m a henna artist.
I love learning new things, discovering different ways of life, and exploring cultures and traditions.
I'm open-minded, very sociable, curious, and adaptable, and I’m actively involved in volunteering and community projects in France.
I enjoy meeting local people, getting involved in their everyday life, and helping out wherever I can, always with enthusiasm and respect.

My Skills
Teaching & Knowledge Sharing
I’ve led workshops on Arab history and civilization for teenagers and provided academic support, which helped me develop strong teaching skills, active listening, and the ability to explain concepts clearly and simply.

Languages
French is my native language, I can teach basic Arabic to beginners, and I’m able to communicate in English, with the strong desire to improve through immersion and daily practice.

Organization & Project Coordination
As the president and co-founder of a humanitarian association, I’ve managed social projects, coordinated teams of volunteers, and handled logistics and administration.

Adaptability & Observation
Through traveling to over 12 countries, working in the social field, and participating in inclusive programs for people with disabilities, I’ve learned to quickly observe, adapt, and respond calmly to all kinds of situations.

Cooking
I love cooking, especially healthy and balanced vegetarian meals, and I’m always happy to share recipes or learn new ones.

Creativity & Artistic Expression
I’m a henna artist, passionate about Arabic calligraphy and oriental literature.
I also participated in a public speaking competition, which helped me strengthen my confidence and clarity when speaking in front of others.
I’ve been trained in oral communication, including gesture, posture, and presence during public speaking.

Organization & Tidiness
Thanks to my work in the educational, non-profit, and book sectors (I worked as a bookseller for two years during part of my studies), I’ve developed solid skills in organizing spaces, sorting, tidying, and handling daily operations.

Working with Children & Diverse Audiences
I’ve worked as a youth group leader and as a social support worker with minors. I know how to connect, engage, and create safe and fun environments for young people.

Fast Learner & Versatile
I’m curious and enthusiastic, always ready to learn something new. Even without prior experience in areas like construction or gardening, I’m highly motivated and give my best in every situation.
