Beschreibung

Hi, my name is qukser. I was born 1987 in Poland but grew up in Germany, so I speak Polish and German. My day job back home is running a youth center as a social worker, and in my downtime, I write and play music (singer-songwriter style, usually with German lyrics).

Since I often travel solo, Workaway looks like an awesome way to really get to know a place and its people – not just be a tourist. I'm really curious about other cultures, meet people with an open heart, and love learning from different ways of life. Workaway seems perfect for making genuine connections with locals quickly and feeling grounded somewhere new.

Plus, I'm keen to improve my English, which I only started learning during the pandemic! What really motivates me and brings me happiness is being part of a community, learning from each other, and chipping in to do something useful together.

Looking forward to meeting future hosts and having great new experiences!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

My background as a social worker means I'm really comfortable working with kids and teenagers, and I'm used to running group activities and projects. The job's also made me pretty communicative and a good listener, and I enjoy connecting with all sorts of people. I'm quite organised too, good at planning things out, and used to figuring solutions out when challenges pop up.

Language-wise, I'm fluent in German and Polish. My English is definitely coming along (I only started learning during the pandemic!) – I can hold a conversation and I'm super keen to practice lots more!

Music's a big passion too! I'm a singer-songwriter, play a bit of guitar, bass, and drums, and know my way around recording and producing songs. I can also handle some basic digital stuff like video/photo editing, creating graphics, and building websites.

I'm generally quite handy and always happy to chip in with practical tasks. Just a heads-up though, I do have some back issues, so heavy lifting is unfortunately a no-go for me.

Overall, I'm adaptable (thanks, travel!), learn fast, enjoy being part of a team, and I'm really looking forward to pitching in and learning new things!
