We are a registered community based non-profit organization . We deal with all the member of our community and our priority is to improve the living condition of the community through provision of supporting, love and caring.
We live in a slum area that lack basic infrastructure. Most people here live below the poverty line. Poverty, illiteracy, underdevelopment, ignorance and conservatism, cause majority of children in slums to be deprived of their basic right to education.
There are a lot of challenges to people who have been hit by poverty, hunger, drug addiction and diseases. We want to give our young boys and girls a brighter future than their parents. We bring together these young children and teach them about real life and how to change their legacy with early pregnancy and school drop out. We empower women in various projects so they are able to support themselves and help elderly to a better life in their old age.
We have project to:
Help and feed elderly people
Empower women
Fight drug addiction
Teach children about basic hygiene
Teach about STD, AIDS/HIV
Prevent teen pregnancy
Distribute sanitary towels
Prevent school dropout
Teach computer skills
Teach young mothers to sew
Charity work
Teaching in local school

Volunteers stay with a local family in an apartment building, close to the organization. They will have there own room, but If there is more than 1 volunteer, they will have to share the room. Volunteers will have to share most facilities with the host family, providing a genuine insight into everyday Kenyan life. The room is big but spacious, with a queen-size bed and a bunk bed provided with bedding. There is a nice and clean pit toilet and a bathroom to have a bucket shower.
The volunteer can use the kitchen (We have a refrigerator, stove and microwave) to prepare their own meal or share meals with the family. We can introduce the volunteers to African lifestyles and food. They will be a part of the family doing their stay and hopefully after.
We will provide blankets, bedsheets, clean water for showering, but bottled drinking water is available to purchase in shops nearby ( around 5 minutes walking ) if you would prefer).
Volunteers will have an opportunity to learn how to prepare local meals, local languages and local culture hence also they will have an opportunity to show the host family their culture. The host family will assist in carrying out Laundry services which will only be done once per week.
Volunteers will be required to contribute USA 6 dollars per day which will be used by the host family for food and accomondation and towards the upkeep of project administration.
As a host, we can help our volunteers to experience Kenya adventures with organizing a cheap safari for you and take you for tours within Nairobi, where we have our national museum, a national park, elephant orphanage, giraffe center, and Masai market. Was noch ...
We will make sure that someone from the organization always will assist the volunteers back and forth to projects and when they visit various tourism sites in the country if needed.
Direct transport to Nairobi city and to a mall with buses, the local matatu or bodaboda the local motorcycle, is nearby.
The organization has adequate experience handling volunteers across the globe because they have been part and parcel of the projects hence the success is attributed to volunteers involved in the projects, teamwork, and cooperation from the local residents thus utilizing limited resources to Nurture, Empower and Transform the local children and youths to be better people in future.
Cultural interaction uncovers an interesting aspect of integration and bridging of cultural differences. It opens up an understanding of human lifestyles and creates an appreciation of the diversity on our planet.
Volunteers will have an opportunity to learn foreign culture and make new friends as our volunteers are across the globe hence no time you will be alone.
We are currently accepting workawayers for January, February, March and April 2020.
You are welcome to be part of our team as you tour Kenya !!
