I spent a bit less than 2 weeks with Neil. The days flew by without noticing. The working shifts were filled with maintanance and gardening tasks.
We daily had a lovely warm lunch together after which we enjoyed siesta with coffee and nice conversations.

My stay with Neil was very last minute but super rewarding in many aspects: a year ago, I marked as favourites his profile and I wrote to myself a note "September Wim Hof". I didn't know that I'll be in Asturias a year later so I took it as sign. He answered my request very quick, we had a video-call and connected right away.

… read more came to have lunch at my previous host and pick me up to go to his beautiful home. This is a place to nourish the body, mind and soul with deep conversations, healthy practices and delicious food. We did some work around the land, organice a room, move some beds, clean and sort the garage.
As a Wim Hof practitioner myself, is wonderful to connect with likeminded people, there's nothing else to say, just take the towel and go for a swim to the river or go to explore beaches in the area.
I appreciate the time I spent here as we found out that we share the same values, curiosity for life, knowledge around food, love for nature, the importance to connect with our emotions and heal, our dreams to make the world a better place by taking action from where we are.
This is a friendly place that for sure I'd love to come back to see the progress and keep giving energy for a bigger purpose. Thank you Neil :-)

I simply do not have enough good things to say about Neil and my time at his house in Asturias. Where do I even begin. This place was simply amazing. Neil is a very entertaining and interesting man from Liverpool with a lot of awesome stories to tell. He is very kind, supportive, and selfless. He was very fair with working hours and conditions.
… read more Even we were working on his land cleaning bushes or trimming trees there was always some lemonade and extra snacks available. His attitude towards life and the workaways is phenomenal. Many of the days that I was at his house he would take us on hikes, kayak rides, or trips to swim in at the beach. When I twisted my ankle on the hike and could barely walk he made sure I was taken care. Just utterly above and beyond the expectations of how a host should be. He is a simply amazing guy. Another thing that was cool about my stay there is learning about breathwork and meditation. We did a breathwork session and it was full of energy and life. It was very different to anything I have ever done before coming from the middle of no where in Arkansas but Neil and the other workaways encouraged me to be vulnerable to trying new things. Also, side note: the food was absolutely fantastic. EVERY SINGLE MEAL was just awesome because of the food but also because of the view from his house. He has a fantastic 180 degree view of the Valley, foothills, and Picos de Europa in the distance. If you are thinking about going to Neil's place just do it!!! As a host, Neil is caring, considerate and supportive. He is always looking out for you, even to small details of making sure you have variety in your work and plenty of yummy food to keep you happy! He has lots of knowledge to share and at the same time balances this well with letting you get in tune with your own innate skills. Working on the land is a great way of connecting with nature and there is great payoff with seeing the fruits of your labor (on top of putting your energy and care into the wonderful centre)
Lastly and absolutely not least- THE ADVENTURES!!! Wow, you absolutely have to see for yourself all the cool stuff to do around Neil's place- kayaking on the famous river, cold water dips, the best scenery mountain bikes, the amazing town of Ribadesella etc etc. On top of the amazing view you get to wake up to, of the mountains- this workaway has to be an 11/10!! :)

We went hiking, cold water dipping and had many enriching conversations and fun during our stay.
Neil is a very generous, kind and compassionate human being always attentive to your needs and appreciates your efforts.
The place is just mind blowing overlooking the mountains and the river.
