Hello beautiful people,
My name is Petra, but my friends call me Peti.

I am a little bit of everything: cheerful, honest, authentic, kind and supportive. I am curious, I like to ask questions. I enjoy learning new things. I am open-hearted and open-minded. I enjoy reflecting on life, having deep conversations and moments where we can learn from each other and share something meaningful.

After years in the office world, I decided to change direction and start listening to myself. To slow down, take a breath, and look for places where work has meaning and is connected with simplicity, authenticity and true connection with people. I want to do things that feel meaningful, that bring joy to the heart, that connect us with nature, animals and with each other.

I feel the most free in nature – in the forest, by water, with animals, or by the fire. Peace and nature are my biggest sources of energy, and that is why Workaway feels so close to me. Not because I want to see as many places as possible, but because I believe that true experiences happen when you lend a hand and become part of someone else’s home for a while.

My hobbies are traveling, reading books, deep conversations, swimming, dancing, walking, drawing, creating, DIY, wood burning and art in general, helping others, gardening, and caring for animals.
When I was a child, our home was always full of pets – from dogs, rabbits, rat, guinea pigs and hamsters to a degu, a chinchilla and even a little budgie. Growing up with animals taught me responsibility and gave me a lifelong love for caring for them.

I love personal development, therapeutic work, somatic experience, breathwork and anything related to these topics.

Through Workaway I hope to meet kind people, discover new cultures and traditions, gain practical experience, learn new skills, and collect lifelong memories.

For me, it is important to stay genuine and fair – and that is also how I want to approach every Workaway exchange.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Household & cleaning: I am comfortable with cleaning, organizing and taking care of a home. I like to keep things tidy and practical.

Gardening & outdoor work: I have some experience with gardening and manual outdoor tasks. I enjoy working with my hands and I am not afraid of more demanding work. In the past, I also worked on a hop farm, which was challenging but very rewarding and fun.

Animals: I love animals and I am happy to take care of all kinds of them – from cats and dogs to other pets or farm animals such as horses or donkeys.
I have experience taking care of various pets such as dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, chinchillas, budgies and others. I’m comfortable feeding, cleaning and spending time with animals.

Digital skills: From my previous office work, I can also help with computer tasks, creating simple graphics, or managing websites and online tools if needed.

I enjoy creative and playful activities such as simple DIY projects, drawing, outdoor games, mushroom picking, or just listening to good music. I like meaningful talks but also quiet evenings with tea or a campfire. I believe in the beauty of small everyday joys and love to share them with others.

I am usually the one who notices the small details that others might miss.
