We’re a couple from New Zealand currently taking a year to explore the world, learn from others, and give back wherever we can. What motivates us most is connection — with people, cultures, nature, and new experiences.

We're passionate about sustainable living, mindfulness, and the simple joys of life: preparing a meal together, planting a garden, helping out around a home, or sitting by the ocean after a good day's work.

Travel, for us, is not just about moving — it's about growing. We love to learn new languages (we’re both working on our French and Spanish), understand local traditions, and immerse ourselves in different ways of life.

We feel happiest when we’re close to nature — surfing, walking coastal tracks, watching the sun rise — and when we’re helping others, whether it’s lending a hand on a farm, doing odd jobs, or supporting wellness practices.

We believe strongly in respect, kindness, and curiosity, and we’re excited to share skills, stories, and laughter as we journey.

We both have a strong interest in languages and communication. Danielle is fluent in Spanish and has taught both Spanish and ESOL for many years. Paul is learning French and enjoys practicing it while travelling. We love using language as a way to connect with people, learn about different cultures, and deepen our travel experiences.

Experience with mentoring, coaching, and managing groups

🔧 Practical & Hands-On Work

Paul has worked as a builder’s hammer hand and handyman

Confident using tools, helping with repairs, renovations, and outdoor projects

Happy to get stuck into gardening, painting, or physical tasks

Danielle is fluent in Spanish and has taught it for many years

Paul has conversational French and is continuing to learn

We love connecting with people from different cultures and backgrounds

We’re a friendly, easy-going couple from New Zealand taking a year out to explore, learn, and contribute. We value meaningful connection, cultural exchange, and working with purpose. We’re both early risers, respectful of others' spaces, and happy with either social interaction or quiet, independent time.

We love nature, walking, gardening, and healthy food (we're trying to eat more plant-based meals). We’re also passionate about sustainability and mindful living. Our backgrounds in teaching, building, hospitality, and wellness mean we bring a wide skill set and positive attitude to any environment.
