Beschreibung

We are Orlane and Antoine, french travelers on a one-year journey to Asia without flying. We plan to cross many countries along the way and to build our itinerary according to encounters and oppotunities. Currently traveling in the Balkans we would like to put our time and skills to good use and to be helpful, taking time discover places more deeply, and above all sharing great moments with new people !

Orlane loves to travel and is already familiar with Workaway having spent several month in latin america in 2022. She is an architect from the west of France (Brittany). She loves being in nature and practing outdoor activities, laughing and meet new people. She's particularly interested in photography and skecthing. Alongside the trip Orlane is also working on writing articles related to architecture and travel.

Antoine is an civil engineer from Brittany who enjoys outdoor sports as hiking, running and water activities. He likes meeting new people and is quite handy especially when it comes to finding practical solutions to problem.

We both love cooking and would be glad to make you discover our specialties. We also worked together in a mountain guesthouse last winter, where we helped with the smooth running of the place, including bar, reception, rooms and kitchen.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Orlane is a qualified architect specialized in eco-design (she learned how to build with raw earth/rammed earth through several community construction projects), and Antoine is a civil engineer spécialies in urban design and infrastructures. We are interested in all kinds of sustainable and environmentally friendly projects.
We also enjoy DIY work and woodworking. Orlane is particularly passionate about photography and is skilled in several drawing and graphic design software programs.
Antoine has also worked during several summers alongside professional landscapers on outdoor projects such as terraces and fencing, as well as basic carpentry work. He has some basic skill, although he is not a specialist. He enjoys manual work, is comfortable using tools, and likes learning on the job and improving his skills through practice.
Having both grown up in the countryside, we feel completely at home in nature and around animals. We are especially interested in gardening, harvesting fruits and vegetables, and working with permaculture.
We worked together this winter (from January to April 2026) helping in a mountain guesthousein the French Alps alongside the lodge manager. We are versatile and adaptable, and our responsibilities included welcoming guests, bar service, cooking, dishwashing, table service, room cleaning, snow clearing, maintaining the Nordic hot tub, and various other daily tasks.
We both enjoy cooking, experimenting with new recipes, and preparing meals using fresh, local ingredients. We would also be delighted to introduce you to some of our specialties, such as traditional Breton crêpes!
