Beschreibung
Hello hosts and workawayers, we are Oliver(24) and Tara(23) from a small beautiful town called Killarney in the south west of Ireland excited to start our next adventure in Morocco and to explore the south and west of Ireland.
Currently we are back home after 2 years of traveling and working around the UK, Europe and Asia.
We have traveled with Workaway for 8 months allow us to work and volunteer in countries such as Italy, France, Germany, Czech Republic and Scotland.
We have partaken in various types of Workaway's from renovating and rebuilding a stone tower in Italy, working in a hotel in Germany, restoring a train station in Prague, working in a guesthouse in Lake Como as well as others.
I(Oliver) is experienced as a pizza chef working and running kitchens in my home town and when traveling. I have a strong passion for design, photography, drawing as well as hiking, reading and music. In 2026 I aim to begin architecture school. Passion for travelling has come about after meeting Tara my girlfriend of 3 years and we have been travelling together ever since. I enjoy photography and sketching while traveling as well as to hike when I can. I would love to experience and learn from the Islamic world in terms if design, philosophy and aesthetics particularly that of Morocco. Morocco has been on my list of countries to see for a very long time and am very excited to see it. Since we began travelling a true appreciation formed for my own beautiful country of Ireland especially that of the South where I'm from and the Wild West. I would love to live near the west coast of Ireland to experience the way of life and natural landscape and unique culture.
I (Tara) have been working in hospitality home and abroad the last 5 years. Oliver and I began our travels together just 3 years ago and since we've caught "the travel bug". it's been a dream of mine since I was very young to see the world. By next year I hope to begin my studies to be a primary school teacher. My hobbies are consisted of being in the outdoors. I love to see new places, new cultures, landscape and food. I have a passion for animals and preserving nature particularly since I began my travels , I would love to travel to places such as Morocco all to way to Oman and experience how the native people preserve and work their land, and how they can live in such extreme heat.
After traveling Europe together we worked in the Isle of Skye, Scotland in a restaurant before travelling South east Asia and Japan for 4 months. Now looking to continue our travels to Morocco and exploration of our own beautiful country of Ireland.
We hope you can see from our profile that we are a hardworking, trustworthy and diligent couple with a passion to travel, experience new things and meet new people.
