Beschreibung

I am a homebody as much as I am a wanderer. I'm just as likely to take a cozy rest day inside as I am to disappear into nature for the entire day. I love mountains, but I must be near the ocean. I am extremely silly, and I value sharing a safe and empathetic space with others. I find healing and empowerment in solitude, but I cherish companionship and all the beautiful connections I have made along the way.

I have done so much wandering and a lot of jobs in many different places and the thing I always come back to is the drive for community and a desire to slow down. I like to take my time in a place, really dig in and feel at home. I like to stay with families and chosen pods all the world over and continually fall in love with new places and cultures.

There is nothing quite so magical as finding a new pocket of the world that really makes my spirit sing and forever holds onto a piece of my heart. Being free and unfettered out on the open road, heading towards community and new experience, is what makes me happiest. Sharing meals and inside jokes and slow quiet moments in nature with others is what brings me joy.

I love being outside and working with my hands. I thrive in unique circumstances with odd jobs. I am deeply adaptable and value clear compassionate communication. I love learning new skills and taking care of others. My experiences include hospitality, animal care, kitchens, trail maintenance and physical labor, retail, service, marketing/advertising and business management.

I love cleaning and organizing and I actually mean it. I am still friends with some of the clients I had when running my own house cleaning business in California.
I enjoy working with gardens and other outdoor projects. I like working with food and making meals for others; I even enjoy washing dishes.
I like finding opportunities to be creative and awaken my artistic spirit. I like painting - fences, furniture, rooms, houses and more.

I have been doing sits through TrustedHousesitters a lot over the last two years and have many reviews on there. I have taken care of many different types and groupings of animals, all with unique personalities and beautiful quirks. I have taken care of homes of all sizes and dealt with a few weather and health emergencies.

Was noch ...

I like photography and making collage cards; handwritten letters are a lost art I am trying to keep alive. I love card games and board games; I most recently learned Scopa! and Cambio, both of which are very entertaining. I try to take a walk and do some stretches each day.

  I avoid beans/chickpeas and corn kernels as these don't process well. I eat mostly vegetarian at home, but like to be flexible when I travel.
