Beschreibung

Hello! We are Natalia and Mateusz, we are a cheerful couple from Warsaw, Poland. We love travelling and meeting new people. We visit new places throughout the world, whenever we have a chance. Recently, we have been travelling through Asia for 6 months. So far, we visited Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and we can’t get enough! Soon it will be time for Japan – our dreamy destination. We really want to experience Japan to the fullest (meet local people, make genuine connections with them, expand our perspectives, help the community). Moreover, we are always happy to learn a new language and local customs. We love nature and animals, enjoy sports such as cycling, swimming and trekking.

(Natalia) I have a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics at the University of Warsaw, Poland, and at the University of Bremen, Germany. I’ve been teaching English and German both to kids and adults for many years now. I’m a social media manager and I supervise campaigns on social media for various companies in Poland. I also have experience as a volunteer: I was a volunteer in China, where I taught English to the kids in a primary school in a small village Anlu. I also participated in a nature conservation project in Austria during my studies. I enjoy doing yoga, drawing, arts&crafts and watching movies. I have a driving license, which might be useful.

(Mateusz) I have a Master’s degree in Law at the University of Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski in Warsaw, Poland. I’ve been a lawyer for many years now, however before my studies I was a bartender. I have good computer skills, driving skills (cars and motorbikes), both of which often make life easier. I like to stay active and that’s why I always do sports, e.g. football, volleyball, basketball, trekking, cycling. My newest passion is surfing. I’m a very creative person and often come with new ideas. I’m interested in fantasy and sci-fi books, movies and computer games. Moreover, I try to stay on top of technology news, which might play an important role in our future.

We are interested in Workaway because we want to experience as much as possible during our travels. Our goal is to see the world from different perspectives, often through the eyes of local people. We are always glad to share our experiences too. We are both kind, respectful, hardworking and open-minded people. Over the years, we have gathered a lot of personal and professional experience and we can honestly say that we are responsible and mature. We are seeking opportunities to make meaningful experiences and influence communities we are part of in a positive way.

(Natalia) I have been teaching ENGLISH, GERMAN and POLISH both to kids and adults for many years now (A1-C2 levels). I have been learning ITALIAN and living in Italy for 6 months too. (Mateusz) I speak ENGLISH fluently and I know ITALIAN very well. I also know some SPANISH. We both started to learn hiragana and katakana and practice JAPANESE on Duolingo. Hope to make a quick progress!
