  Beschreibung

  We are a board game rental and educational shop located in Houlong, Miaoli County, Taiwan. We also have English learning classes for children ages 5 to 12, and music together class as well.
  Our teaching style is more interesting than typical cram schools in Taiwan. We use music, board games, English picture books, indoor & outdoor activities and so on for children to learn while playing rather than focusing on textbook and homework.
  
  We hope to provide a good English speaking environment for our students. Therefore, we are looking for a English speaker to join us, having fun together.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  As Miaoli is a county full with Hakka culture in Taiwan. Therefore, you not only can learn Chinese , traditional Taiwan but also Hakka languages. There are some various aboriginal tribes that you can discover for sure.
  However, most aboriginal villages are located in mountain side , it will take you half day to reach there, so if you wake up in the afternoon , there is no chance to get there by public transportation.

  Arbeit

  We hope you can join the activities with our teach in the class. The activities will be playing the board games, sports , cook , lego , DIY crafts , music and arts. You can share your culture to our kids, tell them about your country, your life experiences, or something you know about it.(Please prepare a short power point before your first class introduce your self to everyone , we have laptop for you to edit your brief profile here.)
  We hope through English communication , our kids can learn from you and make friends with you. Let them know how the world is , how the other country people living. Give them chance to practice their English speaking in their daily life.
  
  Since we are new opened studio , there are not so many students and classes in the same time, also we only accept less than 10 students per class, therefore Workawayers will be asked to do cleaning duty when their time are available. Keep your room and public area clean is everyone's responsibility.Not only language practice , general maintenance, backyard gardening , help in the house , babysitting , art project will be needed depends on everyone's ability and willing.
  We welcome positive , neat and open mind people to join us.

  We just move to our new studio from 2023 March.
  
  Our new studio is also located in downtow, upper a local book store and Carrefour suppermarket .We are at 3rd floor of the building which have 4 floors in total.There are restaruants , coffee shop, hosipital and clinics aroundby.
  
  We have two classrooms.One is dancing room for group activity and another room is English and board room with tables. There are two bathrooms, projector with big screen and good wifi connection everywhere. The air condition will be offered in summer time. Please note, not every room is equipped with air condition fans for every room but ceiling fans are in each room for sure. please be sure you can accept this condition during summer time then we can accept your application, if not , please don't apply in summer time as Taiwan is hot and humid in summer. We try to make rooms cozy but we are not a hotel. In the room, there are 3 beds mattresses, pillows quilt, desks and chairs. You just bring your small luggage and we have every household for you.There is a 24hr automatic washing machine shop nearby our studio , just 2 mins by walk. We only host one workaywer in the room or if you come with two people together. We won't open share room for those who is stranger to you.
  
  We will offer you meals when you are on duty. Since we will open full day break for you to explore middle Taiwan.
  If the time is available , we will take you around and enjoy authentic local food. Sometimes farewell party , but depends on everyone's available time due to each workawyers' check in and out time are different.
  
  And there are some tasty restaurants surrounds by as well. But most of them close or sold out earlier.
  Early bird get worms. Our studio is located in the center of Houlong town, walk distance to train and bus stations , near by 7-11 convenience store, library, supermarket, stationery store, bank,clinc and post office. There are just 5 mins by walking distance to Houlong railway station(via cost line). Also , we are very close to HSR Miaoli station, you can get there by free shuttle bus or 10-15 mins by bike. We have bikes for you to ride and explore around. Let you act like a local residents.

  Was noch ...

  Miaoli is a mountain city with diversity natural landscape, creatures , plaints .
  If you are interested in hiking and cycling , Maioli is the best county of Taiwan for you to adventure. We also have hot spring area that you can go and relax yourself. There are some old towns in countryside that you can know the traditional Taiwan culture.
  
  However, since we locate in Houlong which is a town by the sea and there is a small port , beach close by.
  You can not only go surfing , but also can go fishing and crabs catching in summer time. Staying with us , you can know how the sea life residents living.
  
  Maioli is also famous with its farms and dairies. You can have the best and fresh food from farm to your table.
  Usually local people sell them in the morning market (5am-11am from TUE to SUN) . It is only 5 mins by walk.
  If you miss out the morning market , there is a Carrefour supermarket, it is just downstair of our studio.
  
  We will also held some events and activities via camping in the mountain or countryside during weekends or vacation. You are welcomed to join the fun with us if you want.
