Hello! My name is Joshua and I am from Leeds, United Kingdom.

I have completed a degree in Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies at the University of Leeds. My previous experiences include being a Creative Director for our University Raise and Give fashion show, which raised £21,000 for mental health charities. Additionally, I have extensive hospitality experience including being a waiter, bartender, barista, food griller, housekeeper, kitchen Porter and bar manager. I am a very versatile individual!

I am looking to spend some time in Latin America and/or Canada, to try various volunteer opportunities that will make a positive difference. I hope to travel from around March to July, but I am flexible depending on the opportunity. I love to meet new people and experience new adventures, and I cannot wait to start my next adventure!

Acabé de estudiar español, portugués y los estudios latinoamericanos a la Universidad de Leeds. Tengo mucha experiencia en una variedad de disciplinas, en particular ser Director Creativo del desfile reconocido “Leeds Rag Fashion show” donde nuestro equipo recaudó £21.000 para aumentar consciencia sobre la salud mental. Además, tengo experiencia diversa que incluye ser camarero, barista, barman, chef, limpiador y gerente de un bar. Como un individual, soy muy versátil!

Estoy buscando oportunidades para pasar tiempo en América Latina en cualquier parte, para practicar mi español y también, ser voluntario en proyectos para hacer una diferencia positiva. Me gustaría viajar durante el Marzo hasta el Julio, pero estoy abierto a cualquiera oportunidad y por eso cualquier período de tiempo. Me encanta conocer nuevas personas y explorar nuevas aventuras, y tengo ganas de empezar mi nueva oportunidad ya!

I have achieved a black belt in Karate and the Duke of Edinburgh silver award which is a hiking challenge. I am adventurous and a thrill seeker, and very excited to try new things. I am a good communicator, and I can talk with strangers and in front of groups of people, which I had to do in public speaking competitions. I am creative and enjoy inventing new ideas. I can cook, clean, and perform maintenance tasks, as well as work on a computer and on social media. I can work in a team as well as a team leader, and I am flexible, open minded, and I can listen!
