I'll be in Tokyo for the whole month of February 2026. If you're down to explore and discover spaces of nature and/or museums through day trips with a side of anime/manga shenanigans, hit me up!:)

Beschreibung

Adventuring and learning new languages are what motive me and bring me happiness! I am native of Quebec, Canada, but I'm also Mexican. Thanks to this heritage I have, I've learnt fairly young to speak French, Spanish and English. For my studies, my interest got directed towards German and Japanese, two languages that I thrive to improve!
When I travel or explore, my heart usually pulls me towards nature and animals whenever I can, although I enjoy my fair share of museum and cultural events too. You'll often see me with a novel to read or a game to play, but I love meeting new people and discovering places I've never heard of!

I would love to improve my Japanese. Furigana come easily to me, whereas my knowledge of kanji is still lacking. Therefore, I have some reading and writing skills, although limited for the most part. For the speaking and listening, it depends on the situation. Basic conversations are not out of reach for me, but my vocabulary remains fairly limited. I am traveling to Japan on a Working Holiday Visa so I can truly immerse myself in the culture and the language in hope of boosting my learning!:)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

- I'm polyglot, as I am fluent in English, French and Spanish, intermediate in German and beginner in Japanese (N4).

- I have worked as an agricultural manager in a pedagogical farm and acting coordinator at Ferme pédagogique Marichel (near Québec) in 2025 and as an urban gardener (Montréal) in 2024, gaining experience and knowledge in farm work.

- I have worked as a foreign language teacher for adults at a private school, dedicated to retired people from 2021 to 2024 (Québec). I taught English and Spanish to French speakers and French to English speakers, having a flexibility in understanding my students' needs and goals.

- I have been a language assitant in a high school in Germany in 2018-2019, enhancing my adaptability and my resilience in the face of the language barrier.

- Generally, I would say I am a dedicated worker who can show initiative and autonomy. In a team, I work well with others, as my easy-going and patient personality is often something I've been complimented about.

My hobbies vary with time, but I am currently into bookbinding, embroidery and drawing when it comes to art and craft. I've made myself a worshop and found myself working on way too many projects at once. However, I've enjoyed improving my techniques.
I have always been a reader, gravitating usually towards fantasy and adventure novels. I also dabble in writing, more specifically fanfiction. Of course, I do enjoy reading manga, especially shoujo and josei, and watching anime, more particularly shonen. Of late, I also started playing video games, discovering a love for roguelikes with the Hades duology being my favorite.
On the active side of hobbies, I would say I enjoy going to the gym, biking and playing basketball or Ultimate. In winter, it's always a blast to get my ice skates out, although my level remains fairly the same, which is beginner. However, my favorite remains hiking in forests or in mountains.
