Hey, I am Mette 22 years old from Germany.
I am currently living on the beautiful Swedish island Gotland in the Baltic sea where I study the topics of energy transition and sustainability on a bachelor level. I chose these topics because I want to learn more about our environment and how we can conserve it. My studies are very international and I really enjoy living among and being friends with people from all over the world.
I found my way to Sweden through an exchange year I did while I was still in highschool. During that time I found my love for cultural exchange and learning new things in a new environment.
I like hiking, reading and have a big sweat tooth that I like to satisfy by baking :). Currently my favourite hobby is bouldering and while I do enjoy being active, I also really love a relaxing evening on the couch or playing board games.

Was könntest du arbeiten?
So far I have had some volunteering experience as a team member for the organisation I went on exchange with. I especially enjoyed the work with the teenagers that were about to go on exchange that we tried to prepare as best as possible for their adventure. I have also spent some time as a lifeguard at a lake.
I have helped in my parents yard with some weeding, lawn moving, flower planting and hedge clipping.
I a quick and eager learner and would love to pick up some more skills during my stay.

Was noch ...
I am a big fan of interactive board and card games but I also do the occasional crocheting. I love to dive into stories be it from books or movies and am especially fond of fantasy.
Since I will be travelling on my own I am looking for volunteering at a host where I will be able to interact with people, wether it is other volunteers or you as a host. (But don't worry, I will of course also explore on my own and am an independent person.
