Hello:)
I am Meri. I am living with my parents and my siblings (one brother and one sister) in the south of Germany.
My mother comes from Finland. So growing up I spend a lot of time in Finland especially in the nature. Finland has a lot of forests and seas additional to very few citizens which is very different to Germany. This experience and growing up spending that much time there, it helped me realize how important it is for me to spend time in nature but also admiring different cultures for their way of living.
A few months ago I just graduated high school and I am now interested in seeing the world, experiencing new cultures and meeting new people.

I am also very interested in learning about sustainability and eco-friendly living. This interest already started in school, where we were taught about gardening and working with your hands in general (it was a Waldorf school). A few years ago we all had to do a internship on a farm, where we stayed for three weeks on a farm to experience this life.
After this experience some time later I turned also vegan which led to more thinking about sustainability and how I can help the planet as an individual.
And last but not least I also did volunteer work in Iceland (September 2021). There I helped for a few weeks in a forest. Our tasks were mainly maintaining the forest and creating a biking path, but we were also taught about the different trees, plants and in general the history of this forest.
The experience not only taught me a lot about the environment and sustainability but also showed how important and up-to-date this topic is.

But I am not only interested in the plants but also in animals. Unfortunately I never had any animals at home but I would still say that I have some experience with animals.
As I was growing up my family did some vacations on farms where my siblings and me could watch and help to take care of the animals (mostly cows). Also I spend some time with horses and learning how to ride.
In general I would say I have a little bit of experience and I am comfortable around animals but I would love to learn more about this and getting more experience.

Additional I would also say about me that I am a very active person.
I grew up always doing some sort of sport like horse riding, dancing, athletics or basketball as a hobby. But the last few years I also found my love for hiking (which I did a lot in Iceland), riding a bike (on a day to day basis) , snowboarding and skating.
I am open and more than happy to try new kind of sports or in general doing some active things especially if they can be done outdoors.

To summarize, I am very interested and open for new experiences, cultures and people. I am easygoing person and can adapt quickly to new situations.
I am looking forward to this new chapter in my life.

I have experience and enjoy working outside especially in the garden. I can also cook (I am mostly experienced in cooking vegan).
But in general I am a very fast learner so if I don’t have the skill yet, I am very open to learn these required skills:)
