**Currently heading south of Auckland towards Coromandel, Raglan, Taupo
Kia Ora!
We are Martin and Lydia, a German couple who have been together and travelling the world for the past six years.
After completing our master's degrees, surviving corporate life, and moving between European cities (Amsterdam, Cologne, and Prague), we decided it was time for island life, the great outdoors, and learning new practical skills.
Whether it's decluttering your shed, walking your dog, or helping with gardening and maintenance projects, we're excited to lend a hand and learn from you.

We're enthusiastic, easy-going animal lovers, who don’t smoke and have their own car.
Clear communication is really important to us. We appreciate the trust it takes to welcome travellers into your home, and we'll always respect your space and routines. We also like to set clear expectations—those clichés about German directness definitely hold true sometimes!
We're easy when it comes to food and are happy to adapt to your dietary preferences. The only exceptions? Lydia stays far away from okra, and Martin politely declines slimy raw eggs!

In our free time, you'll find us exploring your recommendations, hiking, planning our next adventure (in Lydia’s case), or doing push-ups (in Martin’s case).
We're looking forward to meeting you, learning new skills, sharing stories, and making ourselves genuinely useful. See you soon!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Lydia has lots of experience in social and environmental work. She‘ a certified youth leader, worked as an AuPair in Australia and for an environmental NGO. Thus, we are very interested in sustainable living and all the tasks it comes with.
Martin has some general experience doing renovations, volunteered to help elderly people with tech problems and lives for every single cat sit we got to do.
