Hi! We are Laura and Maya, two 19-year-old best friends from Berlin, Germany.

After graduating from high school, we decided to take some time to travel before starting university. Instead of just travelling as tourists, we want to experience everyday life in Italy, meet local people and learn more about the culture, traditions and way of living.

We are especially interested in projects connected to animals, farms, nature and outdoor work. We would love to help on family farms, animal-related projects, vineyards or other places where we can become part of everyday life. We also enjoy being around families and would love to experience their daily routines while helping wherever we are needed.

Both of us enjoy working with our hands and learning practical skills. We have some basic experience with gardening and DIY projects, for example planting and repotting flowers, taking care of plants, assembling furniture or doing small tasks around the house. We like creating, building and improving things and are always open to learning more.

We both enjoy cooking and preparing homemade meals. We are not professional chefs, but we are able to cook different dishes and like trying new recipes. We are happy to help with preparing meals and learning new recipes from our hosts.

We are both non-smokers and are excited to meet new people, learn new skills and share our own experiences. For us, travelling is not only about discovering new places, but also about helping, connecting with others and becoming part of a new environment.
We chose Workaway because we want to experience Italy in a more authentic way. We believe that staying with local people is the best way to understand a culture, learn about traditions and experience everyday life.

We are especially interested in working with animals, on farms or in vineyards because we enjoy being outdoors and learning practical skills. We would love to learn more about farming, nature and traditional ways of working while supporting our hosts with their daily tasks.

We are also open to other projects, such as helping in family homes or B&Bs. Even though we do not have experience with B&Bs yet, we are interested in learning new things and helping with whatever is needed.

For us, Workaway is a great opportunity to exchange experiences, learn from others and create meaningful memories.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We are open to many different kinds of tasks and are happy to learn new skills.

We both have some basic experience with gardening and DIY work. We know how to plant and repot flowers, take care of plants and help with simple projects around the house, such as changing a light bulb or assembling furniture. We enjoy working with our hands and are interested in learning more about practical skills.

We can also help with cooking and preparing meals. We both know how to make different dishes and are comfortable following recipes to prepare good homemade food.

We would especially enjoy outdoor work, farm tasks, working with animals or helping with projects where we can learn something new.

Was noch ...

We are both non-smokers and do not have any pets.

Maya has a cat hair allergy, but she can still be around cats. she mnight alos have a minor allergy to other pets, but she is still open to work with them. It would be okay to stay in a household with a cat as long as she does not have to sleep in a room where a cat spends a lot of time.

She also has an allergy to hay, straw and grasses in general. She can usually manage being around nature and animals, but working inside a hay or straw barn for longer periods of time would not be ideal.

Laura is allergic to penicillin, but we hope that this is not going to be a relevant information. :)

We wanted to mention this in advance so that we can find a project that works well for everyone.
