Interested in meeting new people, learning and being told stories from their land from themselves. Ready to live the experience of travelling with our 5 senses. Willing to give also our knowledge.
Beschreibung
Travelling is on our top on my motivation and happiness stuff list. As we are getting older, we are enjoying more the little pleasures of being alive such as being with family and friends, meeting new people, reading a good book and listen to nice music. Some other pleasures motivate us and bring us happiness since we were young such as being outdoors, getting in contact with wilderness and Nature and having a good meal.
Putting all this together we had a family project living aboard in Canada for two years (Septemebr 2022-August 2024). We have travelled between Canada and USA trying to visit as many Natural Parks as possible. Our American adventure ended in August 2024 and we get back home (Barcelona, Catalonia). Before flying back to Europe we visited Vancouver Island and Yukon travelling as a Workawayers with one of our teens (Ona, 15). Our eldest son (19) was living and working in a farm near Quebec City the Summer 2023 for two months before and he really enjoyed the experience. So we did.
Now we are home we still want to keep travelling, meeting new people and living great experiences with the workaway "way of life". Sharing it with our kids is even more exciting!

We like learning languages. We would like to improve our French and also to learn some First Nation vocabulary. We are able to teach Catalan and Spanish.

Was könntest du arbeiten?
Laia likes to eat and to enjoy eating good stuff. Maybe it is the reason she learn how to cook. Or maybe it is just because she connects with her grandmothers when she is cooking. She cooks for her family every day and she is able to cook for more than 10 in challenging conditions (campsite, without kitchen tools, with strange ingredients). She loves challenges!
Laia loves petting, feeding farm animals, cleaning stables and taking care of all of them, big guys and tiny beings.
She also likes gardening, DIY projects and handcrafts works. She used to spend her summer holidays working as a volunteer in International work camps, mainly in Spain and France. There she was able to work on forestry work, carpentry and masonry. She is also a quick learner.
Daniel is a Software developer, this means that he knows a lot about computers, Internet stuff and solving machines issues. This can be very useful! He also like DIY projects and is skilled with tools.
He also used to spend his summer holidays working as a volunteer in International work camps, mainly in France (also in Georgia, a long story with a bunch of adventures). In these International work camps he was also able to work on forestry work, carpentry and masonry.

Was noch ...
This summer we are planning to travel around Vancouver Island and Yukon as a family (my husband, one of my daughters and me). We would like to meet people living in Vancouver Island or Yukon. To share experiences and to know about the region not only as a tourist but as a local's guest.
We are travelling with our teen Ona. Very active, willing to learn and help. Loves Nature, sports, outdoors activities. Always ready to work. She is, for sure, a very good signing.
