Hello everyone,
my name is Karla and I'm 23 years old. I live in Berlin and study law. In 2023 I finished my Bachelor of Law and soon I'll do my first state exam.
At the moment I'm in Istanbul for a Erasmus Semester. As this time is coming to an end and I still have some free time before my classes start again, I decided to get some rest of big cities. This is why I would love to work in the nature and with animals.
I'd love to pitch in and help out.

ich bin Karla und 23 Jahre alt. Ich lebe in Berlin und studiere Jura. Im Jahr 2023 habe ich meinen Bachelor of Law erhalten und bald werde ich mein erstes Staatsexamen schreiben.
Momentan bin ich in Istanbul für ein Erasmus Semester. Da sich die Zeit hier jedoch dem Ende zuwendet und ich noch freie Zeit habe bevor die Uni wieder startet, habe ich mich dazu entschieden mir etwas Pause von Großstädten zu nehmen. Darum würde ich gerne in der Natur und mit Tieren arbeiten.
Ich würde gerne anpacken und aushelfen.

Hi everyone
I’m Karla, 18 years old and from Berlin.
In 2019 in finished high school and went traveling through Europe for one month. At the moment I’m in Costa Rica for work and learning some Spanish. I’m adventurous and always open for new things, but can also be calm and deal with problems of others.
It’s really important to me that other feel comfortable and have fun.
I’m very much interested in new cultures, learning new things, especially languages, and meeting new people.
I like working in a team and have already worked in a coffee shop for a year and a half.
In Berlin I like to go out with my friends and explore bars or restaurants, but also enjoy cooking.
I’m interested in street art and sometimes I like going to a theater.
I also enjoy sports, such as swimming, field hockey, tennis or jogging.
South Africa has always been a dream of mine, which came true last Christmas for the first time. During these two weeks I absolutely fell in love with the country and I hope that through Workaway I have the opportunity to learn more about South Africa.
The idea of working in a hostel came to me during my travel trough Europe. The concept of community and the great atmosphere where really impressive and convinced me.

Ich bin Karla, 18 Jahre alt und komme aus Berlin.
2019 habe ich mein Abitur gemacht, bin danach einen Monat durch Europa gereist und bin momentan in Costa Rica zum Arbeiten und Spanisch Lernen.
Ich bin abenteuerlustig und immer offen für Neues, kann aber auch ruhig sein und mich mit den Problemen von anderen auseinander setzen.
Generell ist mir sehr wichtig, dass sich die Leute um mich herum wohl fühlen und Spaß haben.
Ich bin sehr interessiert an anderen Kulturen, mag es Neues zu lernen, besonders Sprachen, und neue Leute zu treffen.
Ich arbeite gerne im Team, was ich in meinem Job in einem Café auch schon seit anderthalb Jahren mache.
In Berlin gehe ich gerne mit meinen Freunden aus und erkunde Bars und Restaurants, koche aber auch sehr gerne. Street Art ist sehr spannend für mich und ich gehe auch gerne mal ins Theater. Außerdem mache ich gerne Sport ( Schwimmen, Feldhockey, Tennis und Joggen).
Südafrika war schon immer ein Traum von mir, den ich mir letzte Weihnachten das erste mal verwirklicht habe. In diesen 2 Wochen habe ich mich in das Land verliebt und ich hoffe, dass ich durch Workaway die Möglichkeit bekomme mehr über Südafrika zu lernen.
Auf die Arbeit in einem Hostel bin ich bei meiner Reise durch Europa gekommen. Das Konzept der Gemeinschaft und die Atmosphäre hat mich total begeistert und überzeugt.

Je m'appelle Karla, j’ai 18 ans et j’habite à Berlin.
En 2019, j’ai passé mon baccalauréat avant de voyager en Europe.
En ce moment, je suis au Costa Rica pour travailler et apprendre l’espagnol.
Je suis curieuse, serviable et j'aime l'aventure.
Pour moi, c’est très important que les autres se sentent bien et j'adore rigoler avec eux.
Je suis intéressée par la culture ainsi que l'apprentissage de nouvelles choses, comme les langues ou la rencontre de personnes d'une autre culture.
J'ai pu me rendre compte de mon goût pour le travail de groupe grâce à mon expérience professionnelle, en tant que serveuse dans un café depuis un an et demi.
A Berlin, j'aime aussi bien sortir avec mes amis et trouver des bars ou restaurants branchés que  cuisiner.
Le Street Art m'intéresse beaucoup tout comme le théâtre.
J'aime également faire du sport comme nager, jouer au hockey, au tennis ou faire du jogging.
L’Afrique de Sud me fait rêver depuis longtemps. A Noël dernier, mon rêve de voyage s'est concrétisé et je suis tombée amoureuse de ce pays.
J’espère qu'avec Workaway, j'aurai la chance d'en apprendre plus à propos de l’Afrique du Sud.
L’idée de travailler dans un hôtel m'est venue lors de mon voyage à travers l'Europe.
La communication et la découverte de nouvelles cultures me passionnent et m'ont convaincu de me lancer dans cette aventure !
