Hello dear hosts,

I’m Johanna from Helsinki, Finland. I’m very interested in meeting new people and experiencing different cultures and ways of life. I have already done eleven different Workaways, all of which have been wonderful experiences. I’m still in touch with some of the hosts, and I believe there are many more new and lovely adventures ahead!

In my previous Workaway placements, I have done many different kinds of tasks, for example:
- taking care of animals (dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, ponies, mini pigs, chickens, ducks...)
- gardening, weeding, watering, mowing the lawn
- collecting and stacking firewood
- painting, sanding, some DIY tasks
- clearing out and cleaning spaces inside and outside
- helping with household chores
- house and pet sitting

I'd be happy to help with these kind of tasks again, and of course, I'm open for learning new skills as well! And by the way, I'm very good at being by myself and never get bored, especially if there are pets and little things to do in the house, so if you need a house and pet sitter, do not hesitate to ask me ;)

I'll be travelling this April, May and possibly the beginning of June and I'm looking for Workaway places that are preferably surrounded by nature, possibly have animals, and of course, kind and welcoming people. I prefer locations outside big cities, as I enjoy the peace of the countryside.

At the moment I'm in Liguria, Italy roughly until the end of April, and I'm looking for a nice place to go to after that - preferably in Southern France or the area between Nice and around Genova :)

I have a lot of international experience, as in addition to volunteering, I have also studied and worked abroad. I am a cheerful, reliable, friendly, flexible and curious person by nature.What matters to me a lot is a warm attitude, mutual respect, and the ability to communicate openly. Maybe you value these things as well! :)

I would appreciate an internet connection as I aim to start my own business in the coming months (with topics such as somatic work, emotional and awareness skills, well-being, inner work...) and would like to sometimes work with my laptop on my free time. Also, although I love spending time with good people, it’s important for me to have the opportunity to be on my own from time to time, to rest and recharge. That’s why I’m looking for places where I can have a private bedroom rather than sharing with others. Sharing a bathroom or similar facilities is no problem.

So, I’m looking forward to hearing from you and maybe becoming a part of your household/project/community this spring/summer. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions — I’m always glad to share more about myself or my experiences and also hear more about you and your home, and your needs and wishes.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I'm able to help with tasks mentioned above ("Skills and knowledge I'd like to share or learn"), and I'm also interested in learning more of them. In my previous places I have enjoyed especially doing variety of jobs outside (e.g. gardening, some simple DIY, taking care of animals, basically whatever is needed at that time of the year). I also have very much experience on customer service and teaching if that could be useful.
